With the first week of school finished, you have probably made your own drop-off and pick-up routines. Here are some reminders from Campus Safety:
- The only acceptable area in the parking lot to drop off and pick up your student is at the Yellow Curb alongside the Event Center
- The right two lanes are for drop off and pick up only
- Curbside is for slower traffic/pick up
- Middle is for quick pick up (student on the curb, ready to go)
- Left lane for pass-through traffic
-
PLEASE do not park your vehicle to drop off your students. This causes delays in the drop-off and pick-up flow, and in the mornings, when you park, you are taking away parking spaces for our teachers, staff, and permitted students.
-
Acceptable off-site location to drop off and pick up your student is at the Athletic Complex (6301 Portola Pkwy, Irvine, CA, 92620)
-
Dropping off or picking up on Sand Canyon or Portola is not permitted, is dangerous, and can result in a ticket from the Irvine Police Department.
- Speed limit in our parking lots is 10 mph!!
- Your safety and your student’s safety are our top priorities.
| | Jeans 4 Jesus - August 29 | | |
Next Friday, August 29, is our first Jeans 4 Jesus of the school year! Students wishing to participate may bring $2 and wear jeans. All funds go to support Charity on Wheels. Student leaders will come around to classes to collect donations during block 2.
Jeans may not have holes or rips. Students must wear a Crean Lutheran spirit shirt, polo, or sweatshirt with their jeans. Students out of dress code will be given a dress code violation.

| | Make-Up Picture Day - September 3 | | |
Make-up Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, September 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the MPR. This picture day is for students who were unable to attend Returning Saints Day or New Student First Day. Due to time restrictions, we are unable to accommodate picture retakes.
Students are asked to take their photo during an open block, passing period, or lunch. If they must take their photo during class time, they are asked to go at the beginning of the block and then visit the front desk for a pass to class.
Please note: This is our only make-up photo opportunity this year, so students without a photo will not be included in the yearbook. For seniors, this photo will only be used for their Student ID. Seniors still need to take a Senior Portrait at the South Coast Photographic Studio for the yearbook.
Questions? Email Ms. Eltiste at emily.eltiste@creanlutheran.org.

| | | NART Mission Trip Application Now Open - September 25 - 29 | | |
The Native American Reservation Trip (NART for short) is a trip focused on building bridges between the community of Bishop, CA, in the Sierra Nevadas, and the Paiute tribe. We are blessed to partner with our sister school, Orange Lutheran, on this initiative. While we serve together in Bishop, students will have the opportunity to share the love of Christ with the people through a variety of work and witness opportunities, including serving at local area churches, helping with yardwork and beautification projects at the homes of community elders, and even serving each other around the campsite as we prepare to serve and worship together. The trip dates are September 25 to 29, leaving early Thursday morning and returning Monday evening. Students will miss three days of school.
