Evergreen Chamber President's Letter 3/27/20
It is finally Friday in what has been a hectic and emotional week for all of us. I am happy to report there are some good things happening you need to be aware of.

  1. Today, the US House and Senate approved a loan program for businesses to help with payroll. Make sure to apply asap to enable funds to get to your business and out to employees.
  2. Today, Help Colorado Now has raised $7.7 million dollars from nearly 4,000 individuals, foundations and companies since the fund launched. Business can now apply for grants and will be on a rolling basis. Those interested in applying for relief funds up to $25K can APPLY HERE. 
  3. Tomorrow, Saturday 10-4pm down at Denver West there is a county-wide donation drive for PPE's (masks, gloves, etc) to assist our health professionals. Click the flyer to get the info on what they are looking for and take it down. It is NO CONTACT drive so you will be safe to go.
  4. Sunday at 3:30pm Majority Leader Alex Garnett will host a telephone Town Hall covering resources and questions about COVID 19. SIGN UP HERE
  5. Tuesday, March 31st from 8:30am – noon there will be a blood drive at St. Anthony Hospital off 6th Ave and Simms. The blood donation itself takes 15 minutes, and 30-45 minutes total including paperwork. All scheduling can be done through Vitalant's website. Senator Tammy Story is working on getting one in Evergreen on Friday April 3rd. Again safe to go out and participate.
  6. Have you heard of the Jeffco Hope Fund by Community First Foundation? It has been seeded with $1 million to strengthen and stabilize Jefferson County community organizations responding to and impacted by COVID-19. Businesses can apply, donors are highly encouraged to donate.
  7. The Take Out Take Over program and online gift card sales through the Chamber are going well. Please spread the word and help local businesses. These are efforts for ALL businesses in our community.

  11. AGAIN I HIGHLY encourage you to fill out the SBA loan application and the EIDL application-they are different. click to APPLY You want to make sure you are in the cue. Don’t wait until you definitely need it. If you need help with the application please call your banker or reach out to me at the Chamber.
