Kickball Tournament Date Change
What: The rain date of April 24 will be used. In the case of rain on April 24, the tournament will move inside to the Burlington High School gym. Come out to join the Greater Burlington Leadership Class for the first annual Kick-Off to Little League Kickball Tournament. It will be a great day of family fun! What: Carl A. Nelson & Company is pleased to announce the hiring of Lynnae Hillyer for the role of payroll accountant. Hillyer comes to CANCO after five years with TDT CPAs and Advisors in Burlington. The Burlington resident is a 2009 graduate of Burlington Notre Dame High School, and a 2013 graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting.
In her previous job, Hillyer performed a range of accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, payroll, corporate and individual income tax and more. Hillyer said she liked payroll best of all, and is pleased to have a chance to do that work full-time.
“I’d also heard good things about working here,” she said.
Hillyer’s first day at Carl A. Nelson & Company was April 5, 2021. She succeeds Renita Jarrett, who will retire this spring following 31 years with Carl A. Nelson & Company.
Away from the office, Hillyer is current president of the Burlington Optimists Club, a member of the board of the Burlington Elk’s Club, and a member of Greater Burlington Young Professionals. She enjoys Burlington Bees baseball, creates custom vinyl pieces for T-shirts and other items for organizations, and refinishes furniture.
