Stick Welding Certificate - FREE Training for Iowa Residents 
What: In this American Welding Society "SENSE" aligned course, participants will learn the fundamentals of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). SMAW is one of the first and most popular welding processes. It is used extensively in industrial fabrication and the construction of steel structures. Topics covered include: welding safety, hands-on SMAW welding in all positions using various electrodes, applied math, blueprint reading (online), and welding symbols interpretation.

Adult Pottery Class Starting Soon
What: Scratch the surface with this fun technique! Beginner hand building or experienced wheel throwers can join this class.
Sgraffito is a technique where you put down a layer of color and carve it away to make cool designs. Students with wheel experience may use the wheel, otherwise students will be shown two different hand building techniques to create a piece to try out this fun finishing design. Create one to three pieces depending on size.

Players Workshop Holding Open Auditions
What: Players Workshop is re-opening for the 2021-22 season with Ken Ludwig's hilarious "The Fox on the Fairway." There are open auditions for six parts, three males (one in the 18-30 range and two above 50 years) and three females (one in the 18-30 range and two above 50 years). Because actors will be working in very close contact with each other, COVID vaccinations are strongly encouraged.
