What: The CVB and DPI are excited to team up for a new promotion - Sip, Taste, & Take Home a Wine Down basket complete with 2 stemless wine glasses, your choice of a bottle of Lindon Wines, and a wine bottle opener/stopper. Baskets are for purchase at the Port of Burlington Welcome Center for $25. A portion of each sale is donated back to Downtown Partners to assist with their mission. Jefferson St Farmers Market - Home Stretch

The company is Heartland Marketing out of Pekin, IL. Please know this is not a Partnership or Chamber of Commerce initiative.

DRIVE THRU RESOURCE FAIR
What: The Des Moines County SAFE Coalition is hosting a Drive Thru Resource Fair to celebrate NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH. Recovery Month is a national observance held each year to remind us that substance abuse treatment works and mental health services can help people live healthy lives. Several local agencies and businesses will be set up with information and free items for the public.

Plein Air Painting Competition at Crapo Park
What: 2020 Plein Air Event presented by Crapo Park Foundation. Plein air artists of any age are eligible to participate in this event. Artwork must be done outdoors, en plein air, during the event. All paint and drawing mediums are accepted. There are no size limits on canvas and paper. Artists must work on public property within the park limits, a map will be provided. This event is rain or shine. Social distancing should be practiced throughout this event as well as wearing masks around others.
Crapo Park is an 85 acre city park established in 1895 for Burlington's semi-centennial celebrations, and boasts an arboretum and botanical garden, located alongside the Mississippi River at Parkway Drive.
When: Friday, September 18 & Saturday, September 19
Judging will take place on Saturday, September 19 at 4 PM. Artwork from the competition will be on display at the Art Center through September 30.
