Sip, Taste & Take Home
What: The CVB and DPI are excited to team up for a new promotion - Sip, Taste, & Take Home a Wine Down basket complete with 2 stemless wine glasses, your choice of a bottle of Lindon Wines, and a wine bottle opener/stopper. Baskets are for purchase at the Port of Burlington Welcome Center for $25. A portion of each sale is donated back to Downtown Partners to assist with their mission. Girls On The Run 5K Fun
What: Join us for a 5K! This celebratory event is the culminating experience of the Girls on the Run curriculum. Completing the 5K gives the girls a tangible understanding of the confidence that comes through accomplishment as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals. Crossing the finish line is a defining moment when the girls realize that even the seemingly impossible IS possible.
We are inviting our community to join us, either virtually or in person on race day, as you set to accomplish your own goals and support these girls in their challenge.

PLAYERS WORKSHOP GOES ONLINE
What: Players Workshop will begin online productions with a PW Young Actor production of the comedic playlet, "Mother Goose Interrupted: This Little Piggy," presented with special permission of author T. P. Jagger. The story puts a twist on the classic children's story as the characters in "This Little Piggy" go toe to toe with each other. Other short productions will follow on Facebook and YouTube throughout 2020-21.

Paint Pour on Canvas Class
What: We'll take you step by step and give you all the tips you need to create either a rainbow or monochromatic wave using a dutch pour technique on a 8x8 canvas. We'll provide all supplies. This class is outdoors in front of the Art Center. Cost is $20 for Art Center Members or $30 for non-members and includes all materials and instruction.
At this time, students are required to wear masks during our classes. Soap, water, and hand sanitizer are available for use. Stations will be cleaned thoroughly. This is subject to change depending on CDC and state guidelines. Thank you for understanding.

Senior Home Delivered Meals
What: Milestones Area Agency on Aging is seeking volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in the Burlington/West Burlington area. Most routes take 30 - 45 minutes and utilize non-contact delivery. Volunteers can deliver as often as they wish - weekly, monthly, or on call.
When: Meals are delivered Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Volunteers pick up meals outside of the Milestones office at 10:30 AM.

Girl Scouts Carnival
What: We will have carnival games outside for kids to play and earn tickets. Redeem your tickets for prizes! There will be a few food vendors on site for food & snack purchases. Girl Scout registrations completed that day will be entered into our prize pack drawing! Already a Girl Scout? Bring unregistered (girl) friends to the carnival to receive bonus tickets. If your friend(s) joins Girl Scouts that day, you will get even more tickets! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Masks and social distancing are requested.

Plein Air Painting Competition at Crapo Park
What: 2020 Plein Air Event presented by Crapo Park Foundation. Plein air artists of any age are eligible to participate in this event. Artwork must be done outdoors, en plein air, during the event. All paint and drawing mediums are accepted. There are no size limits on canvas and paper. Artists must work on public property within the park limits, a map will be provided. This event is rain or shine. Social distancing should be practiced throughout this event as well as wearing masks around others.
Crapo Park is an 85 acre city park established in 1895 for Burlington's semi-centennial celebrations, and boasts an arboretum and botanical garden, located alongside the Mississippi River at Parkway Drive.
When: Friday, September 18 & Saturday, September 19
Judging will take place on Saturday, September 19 at 4 PM. Artwork from the competition will be on display at the Art Center through September 30.
