Shop Early, Shop Safe - Happening Now
What: Introducing Shop Early Shop Safe. The Chamber of Commerce has begun a two month marketing campaign designed to get people shopping early and at local Chamber of Commerce members this holiday season. More than 50,000 consumers have already been reached via Shop Early Shop Safe Facebook page group. Radio ads will ramp up after Election Day. Participation is FREE for all Chamber of Commerce member businesses! The Chamber of Commerce wants everyone to stay safe this holiday season.

Southeast Iowa is Celebrating National STEM Week
What: The Southeast Iowa Region is celebrating National STEM Week in November by highlighting STEM Careers in the area and providing hands-on activities. Educators throughout the region have registered their students to participate in National STEM week, averaging over 350 students per day, signing up their classroom to participate in hands on activities and learn about local careers through interactive YouTube Videos. Special thank you to our business partners: Cryotech, Silgan Containers, CNH Industrial, and Menke & Company. The week is presented by The Greater Burlington Partnership, Lee County Economic Development Group, Southeastern Community College, and Southeast Iowa STEM Hub.

Main Street Challenge Grant Winner
What: Congratulations to Kari Patterson & De Luxe Aesthetics! Main Street Iowa & the Iowa Economic Development Authority awarded Downtown Partners, Inc. a 2020 Main Street Challenge Grant in the amount of $75,000 for the De Luxe Aesthetics project. The grant dollars will go towards the renovation of the new De Luxe Aesthetics building located at 506 Jefferson St. Congratulations!
