Manufacturing 4.0 Grant Opportunity for Iowa Manufacturers
Iowa is offering grants to help small and mid-sized manufacturers invest in new technology that can improve productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.
The Manufacturing 4.0 Technology Investment Program will accept grant applications January 4 – 29, 2027. Eligible manufacturers can receive up to $75,000 over the lifetime of the business, with a 1:1 match required.
Eligible technology can include robotics and automation, advanced equipment, cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, sensors, data analytics and other smart manufacturing technologies.
There is an important step to complete before applying: businesses must receive an Industry 4.0 assessment through CIRAS and submit it with their grant application. Companies must request their assessment by November 20, 2026, to be eligible to apply.
To qualify, manufacturers generally must be Iowa businesses with 3–124 full-time employees, operate under a manufacturing NAICS code (31–33), receive at least 51% of their revenue from manufactured goods, and have been in business for at least three years.
