Q: What is your position within your company?
A: Commercial Project Manager
Q: Why did you become involved in the roofing industry?
A: I started out working in the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, as my first job during the summers in college.
Q: What was your first roofing experience?
A: My first experience was working in the warehouse at Lakeside Roofing. I tracked inventory, loaded and unloaded trucks, dropped off materials, and performed other miscellaneous jobs to help with the company's projects.
Q: What is your roofing industry involvement?
A: I am currently a project manager, estimator, and salesman for the commercial division at Lakeside Roofing. I previously worked on the residential side of the company and worked in the warehouse. I am a board member for the RSCA. I am a graduate of Future Executives Institute (FEI), a three year course put on by the NRCA which takes place at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: Like many other young boys, I wanted to be a professional athlete. Or at least work in the sports industry.
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was at Lakeside Roofing in the warehouse.
Q: What quality do you admire the most in a person?
A: I admire people with a strong sense of humor that do not take life too seriously.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: My wife and I have always wanted to go to Australia and Hawaii.
Q: What is the most exciting/adventurous thing you have done?
A: My wife and I have taken two trips to Europe- we have been to Spain, France, Ireland, and Italy. We hope to continue to see more of the world at every given chance.
Q: What is your favorite stress reliever?
A: Spending time with family and friends
Q: What's your favorite part about working in the roofing industry?
A: Developing relationships and friendships with many people.
Q: What do you consider your most professionally rewarding experience?
A: Graduating from the FEI program
Q: People would be surprised to know…
A: I was born with red hair but balded at three months. Then my hair came back bleach blonde. And now I have brown hair.
