IT’S THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH
I grew up in a small town in Western Michigan. When I was in the middle school (which we called Junior High School) there was a high-profile murder that took place. A trial came and people were sworn in. Our Civics teacher took us to the trial to observe and learn from it. As they swore the people in, under oath, they were told to put their hands on the Bible and were asked, “Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but they truth, so help you God?” They then had to say yes or no. By saying yes, they were boldly stating that they were telling the truth in their testimony. I learned a lot from that trial.
How do we know what truth is? Once again, in Ephesians chapter 6 verse 14 it tells us, “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth…” (KJV) The Amplified Bible reads, “So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist….”
This “belt” of truth can only be known through the studying of the Word of God. Jesus is the way, “the truth” and the life. Being the Word, that was made flesh, you will find that by studying his life and His written word, you will know truth. You cannot know real truth outside of knowing Jesus and His Word. We take the truth of His word and wear it like a belt. In a sense, truth holds things up from falling. Just like a person wears a belt on his trousers or slacks, to keep them up, the belt of truth helps us to hold things up in integrity also.
Many claim to know the truth outside of the Word of God, but it is a false truth. It will not keep you “up” when the pressure is on. It will lead you astray and cause you to stumble. There were many voices speaking in the past year. We must sift their words through the “belt of truth” to determine whether they are from God or not. If they are, then they will stand, and if they are not, they will fall.
Also, half truths are the same as a lie. Ananias and Saphira found this out and it cost them their lives. They said one thing, but it was only a half-truth. They sold property and conspired together to say it was sold for such an amount and they held the rest back. They lied to the Holy Spirit and it cost them their lives. The body of Christ is full of half-truths, and I am amazed that God has given such mercy in these days. I believe the days are here that he is exacting truth and weighing our words and actions, and many will be founding wanting. Like the handwriting on the wall in the days of Daniel, there are many building their kingdoms through half-truths. The day of reckoning is here, and many may perish in their half-truths.
God will not be mocked. We either stand all the way with truth or we are exposed for what we really are. It is time for the body of Christ to repent and be truthful in every aspect of their lives before God judges them.
God’s Truth will prevail. He has the final word, and you can believe it will be all truth!

TO GIVE AND BE GIVEN – LESSON 21
PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING
Psalm 100:4 says, we are “To give” God our praise and thanksgiving. He cherishes that because it shows our love toward Him. It says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.”
There is nothing quite like dwelling in the presence of God in His throne room. It is wonderful. But how do we get there? It is as we commune with Him from our “prayer closet,” the secluded place or time in prayer, when we pray, meditate,” listen” and envision in our “minds’ eye” (spirit) being in His “room” with Him at Heaven’s throne. We get there with praise and thanksgiving.
There are gates to Heaven. Furthermore, that heavenly city that shall come to the new earth, the New Jerusalem, has twelve gates of entrance (Revelation 21:12). As we give thanks to the Lord, enumerating all the things He has done for us, a gate to heaven opens for us to enter heaven (by the Spirit).
Then, as we give Him praise, citing His many attributes, that ushers us into His throne room which is only a portion of heaven. It is there that we find the “sweet part” of His glory.
Unfortunately, most Christians have never experienced it, yet it is available to all who earnestly pursue Him. Thanksgiving and praise in your intimate personal worship time is key. I have been there many times. You can be there too.
Psalm 149:6 says, “Let the high praises of God be in (your) mouth.” Psalm 149:1-3 says for us to sing unto the Lord, be joyful, dance unto Him, and have instruments of music. These things enhance our praise and worship toward Him, but do not replace the quiet intimacy of meeting Him in the “secret place of the Most High” your private time spent with Him.
Yes, we are “to give” thanks and praise to Him. He loves it. You will too.

PROPHETIC WORD
Do you hear the whisper, the soft-spoken words that would come to your spirit throughout the day? That is me saith the Lord. I am communing with you and I do it through that still quiet voice of a whisper. I am breathing into your spirit refreshing that is most surely needed in this hour. I am bringing my peace into your spirit that will calm the storms around you. Surely, I have whispered, and you have responded. Let the chaos and the burdens go my child and come sit at my feet. Let me be your focus in this hour and know that I am here to refresh you and bring peace. Surely as the world goes darker, my light will come and guide your path. Yes, my child, I am here, and I am speaking. So often, the noise and the rush bring confusion and doubt, but I am here. Never doubt that I know what is happening in your life, for I am the one that created you. So, sit quietly at my feet and let the distractions go and just enjoy being in my presence. Do you hear the whispers? They are words of love and encouragement. For I will continue to be here and guide you and bring the peace that you need in this hour. Just open your ears to hear that still small voice saith the Lord.

PROPHETIC EXHORTATION
Perhaps today you’re feeling somewhat like Ezekiel of old did in Ezekiel 37; For now it seems as if you too are in a dark valley of your own. No, your valley isn’t full of dry bones; But still you’ve found yourself in a dry place of your own. There in that valley are dead things you relate to. It’s things such as your dead hopes and your dead dreams, broken and dead relationships and yes, there’s dead goals and closed doors. But just you hold on and keep trusting God...For He is even now at work in your life turning that dark valley of dead and dry bones into a lush green valley of divine favor, answered prayers and unexpected miracles... And they have your name all over them. So why don’t you begin to praise God for all you’re about to receive there in the very midst of that dark valley you’ve been walking in; And then get ready to walk right on out of that valley and on into your shouting ground.
