State of the City 2026

Grab your fresh kicks and join us at the Placer Valley Soccer Complex on Thursday, August 20th for the annual State of the City Address! Hear directly from Mayor Krista Bernasconi on city updates and why Roseville is the best place to live and do business. While the address is free to attend, VIP Breakfast tickets are available at $35 for members and $50 for non-members, so make sure to register on our event webpage. Updates in Advocacy

AB 2564 – Surveillance Pricing (Oppose):

This bill would restrict how businesses use consumer data to determine pricing. Opponents argue it expands beyond the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), adding new regulations and compliance costs for businesses already subject to California's existing privacy laws. AB 2564 is still moving, but there is still opportunity for stakeholders to take opposition.

AB 1776 – COMPETE Act (Oppose):

AB 1776 would significantly expand California's antitrust law by creating new, untested standards for business conduct. The bill would increase litigation, expose businesses of all sizes to costly legal challenges, and force many small businesses to spend substantial resources defending against lawsuits rather than investing in growth and job creation. AB 1776 is still moving and is awaiting a hearing from the Senate Appropriations Committee.
