We had a great time this morning at Studio 40 on FOX40 today talking all things Roseville Coffee Passport!

Ananda joined Daksha Shah from The Bean Roasting Co. to share more about the Coffee Passport and highlight the amazing local coffee experiences available right here in our community—including Bloom Coffee and The Daily Nosh. It was a fun morning celebrating local coffee, local businesses, and the connections that make Roseville so special!

The Membership team started the week with 20 members in the Home Service industry and learned about how a business owner can build their positive online reviews by John Shanahan, Lighthouse Window Cleaning

Tuesday brought 100 members together for the August Luncheon at Randy Peters Event Center to hear from Dr. Jenni Murphy, CSUS, Continuing Education Department, speak on Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs.

The Women In Business Group met on Thursday which featured a marketing panel that included Ann Bouchard, Bouchard Communications; Jen Esparza, The Jen Advantage; Tami Thompson, Grata Marketing, and Ash Schafer, The Local Line, all sharing their marketing knowledge with attendees. Thank you to Rachael Burns, True Worth Consulting for being our Breakfast Bites & Coffee Sponsor and to Marcie Shelton, The Leader's Partner for leading the meeting.

They celebrated two members with ribbon cuttings this week: Sierra View Country Club, showcasing their newly redesigned event space and dining area and Primrose School of Roseville at Blue Oaks.

Additionally, they welcomed Executech as a new member this week. Please join us in welcoming them to the Chamber!

Young professionals gathered on Friday for a morning of networking at this month's Ignite Coffee Chat hosted by The Daily Nosh. It is always great to see so many members connecting with each other bright and early while enjoying local hotspots.

On Wednesday, August 12th, our United Chamber Advocacy Network (UCAN) Coalition gathered at the Capitol to discuss legislative priorities with legislators that representing all over Northern California, and to advocate for our business communities in the region on issues we are facing. One bill in particular we brought to our legislators’ attention as an ask for opposition is AB 2564, which makes it difficult for businesses to offer personalized discounts in California, enforcing all discounts to specific exemptions and publication requirements. Lack thereof would result in facing per-instance and per-customer penalties. Each of our Chambers were able to share how that impacts us as well or those within our communities such as veterans or other service provider discounts.

Later that evening, we held our Legislative Reception at the California Manufacturers and Technology Association (CMTA), inviting local elected officials and legislators, our UCAN Coalition members, and sponsors to engage in an evening of advocacy and connection. It was a great evening thanks to our sponsors, Union Pacific Railroad, BOSCH, North State BIA, and Capitol Regions Consulting! Amazing wine was enjoyed thanks to Wise Villa Winery and a delicious charcuterie spread thanks to Culture & Crumb! Thank you to all who made the drive out to spend the evening with us!
