This week I joined the Rancho Cordova Area Chamber and shared more about the three-year journey behind Capital Careers, a digital platform connecting manufacturing employers with veterans and transitioning service members, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) National Learning Network Summit.

The discussion highlighted how employer-led research, employer engagement, market analysis, and pilot testing were translated into a workforce solution.

The Membership Team ended the month strong and started October with a lot of activity! Twenty professionals learned about AEO marketing strategies from Auburn Business Ventures at the September Business Bootcamp.

As River Valley Community Bank recently celebrated 20 years of service, our very own Roseville Branch just celebrated its 1-year anniversary in the community!

Special thanks to Senior Vice President & Market Manager for Roseville Andrew Tagg and Vice Presidents Carol Garcia and Kristen Holihan, all of whom have been active on our Board of Directors and continue to demonstrate their dedication to investing in local business development.

We look forward to a long future of partnerships to come, congratulations!

We also celebrated Walmart, Scalpology, and Ellie's Coaching with Ribbon Cuttings this week.

We also welcomed nine new members this week. Please join us in welcoming them to the Roseville Chamber:

  • LuMax Consulting
  • DD Logowear
  • SierraWorks Automation Company
  • Sanctuary
  • Capital Rivers Commercial
  • TAF Insurance Agency
  • NexGen Tax & CFO Advisory
  • Mission Forward Advisors
  • Boston's Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar

Today is Manufacturing Day in the City of Roseville, and we would love to showcase what the city has created to promote the manufacturing industry through the Made In Roseville Campaign.

Visit their website HERE to see spotlights on local manufacturers and learn how they are powering Roseville's economic future.

As for the continued future of manufacturing in the region, Roseville High School students participated in a hands-on Career Exploration Through VR event earlier this week at the Roseville Venture Lab, discovering exciting pathways in manufacturing, technology, and skilled trades.

Through VR experiences, career research, and group activities, students explored careers including CNC machining, robotics, industrial maintenance, semiconductor manufacturing, EV battery technology, and more.

We also hosted a panel of local industry leaders to share their insight:

  • Sara Lausmann - BOSCH
  • Aaron Parker - Harris & Bruno
  • Jamey Shidler - Penumbra
  • Semhal Siraj - Penumbra
  • Roy Ingram - Sierra College

Thank you to the professionals who shared their time to help inspire this eager future workforce!

Mark your calendars and save the date, our 2027 Installation Dinner will be held on Thursday, January 28th from 5:00 - 9:00PM @The Grounds in Johnson and Jones Hall.

We look forward to celebrating A Night of Leadership & Legacy, installing our new Board Chair, Tammy Powers - CEO of Sutter Roseville Medical Center, along with our 2027 Board of Directors.

Sponsorship and registration information will be released in the next couple weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out and we hope to see you there!

Yes on Prop 45

The Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to join the growing coalition supporting Prop 45 (Building an Affordable California Act)—a broad alliance of infrastructure advocates, water providers, clean energy builders, and more working together to make California more affordable and deliver the essential infrastructure communities need.

Prop 45 is a November 2026 statewide ballot measure that will modernize California’s outdated project approval process by establishing clear, enforceable timelines for environmental review and a faster, more predictable process for resolving legal challenges—while maintaining California’s strong environmental protections. Prop 45 will cut project delays by 2–10+ years.

Today, unnecessary permitting delays and costly litigation have slowed or prevented the construction of the essential infrastructure Californians depend on. These delays increase costs, create uncertainty, and postpone projects we’re ready to build.
