It was great to see SPLASH! featured on FOX40 this week, helping shine a spotlight on one of Roseville's favorite traditions. Hosted by the Roseville Area Chamber in partnership with the City of Roseville, our 30th Annual SPLASH! returns on Saturday, September 12, bringing together the region's best wineries, breweries, restaurants, and live entertainment for an unforgettable evening of unlimited tasting, dancing, and community celebration. If you caught the segment, thank you for helping spread the excitement—and if you haven't secured your tickets yet, now's the perfect time to join us for a night you won't want to miss!

It was a busy and exciting week for the Membership Department. The team celebrated three members with Ribbon Cuttings—Blooms By Devin, The Familia Mexican Food, and Empire Safety & Supply.

Our Women In Business Group organized a few opportunities to volunteer out in the community this week by helping a few of the non-profits that are part of The Alliance: Defending the Cause of Kids & Families. Thank you to those that took time out of your busy schedule to give back!

Thank you, Renee Perez, for opening up your home this past Wednesday to host this summer’s bi-annual Ambassador Party! We are so grateful for your hospitality and for creating a wonderful space for our Ambassador Team to connect and celebrate.

Our Ambassador Team is led by our dedicated Team Captains: Scott Otsuka of Infinity Home Loans, Zach Mongston of Bear Homes, Renee Perez of DVS Appraisals INC, along with our Ambassador Chair, Mark Becker of IT Pro Source.

The Chamber Ambassador Team is made up of Chamber members who generously volunteer their time to support fellow members by helping them build meaningful connections, serving as a friendly face at events, and acting as an additional liaison to assist with whatever our members may need.

Thank you to our entire Ambassador Team for the time, energy, and enthusiasm you bring to the Roseville Chamber community!

On Thursday, 100 Chamber members and guests gathered bright and early at Randy Peters Event Center for the July Breakfast, enjoying a delicious meal and making meaningful connections.

Friday it was back to Randy Peters for another morning of connection at the Economic Development and Government Affairs Committee meeting. This month featured our high-level Healthcare Panel, leading an engaging discussion surrounding our aging population and the impact it plays on our economy. Panelists included Austin Manning, President and CEO of Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Dr. Jonathan Porteus, CEO of WellSpace Health, Dr. Richard Florio, Physician in Chief for Kaiser Permanente Roseville Service Area, Dr. Vanessa Walker, Chief Medical Executive for Sutter Roseville Medical Center, and Dr. Rebecca Boxer, Professor of Geriatric Medicine for UC Davis Health. A special thank you to our sponsor for this meeting, Sutter Roseville Medical Center!

The City of Roseville has shared that Bosch announced a definitive agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce's CHIPS Program Office for up to $225 million in direct funding to support its $2 billion investment in its Roseville semiconductor facility.

The site, which has more than 40 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience, has begun sample production in Roseville and expects to start commercial production in 2026, further strengthening the city's role as a hub for advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Read more here.

The City of Roseville is also inviting local businesses and the public to participate in a brief survey to help inform future business programs and events—particularly at the Roseville Venture Lab.

By sharing your perspective, you'll help us identify the community's priorities and guide programs and strategies that support Roseville's continued growth and success. Take the survey by Monday, August 31.

Grab your fresh, turf-friendly kicks and come hear from Mayor Krista Bernasconi at our 2026 State of the City Address at the Placer Valley Soccer Complex on August 20th from 9:00AM-10:00AM. SB 1123 - Administrative Procedure Act (Oppose)

SB 1123 would change how state agencies calculate the economic impact of major regulations by requiring them to include estimated offsetting benefits and savings when determining regulatory costs. While a complete analysis is valuable, the bill could understate the true compliance costs imposed on businesses and make it easier for costly regulations to avoid heightened review. California should maintain transparent, objective economic analyses that accurately reflect the real-world impacts of new regulations on employers, job creation, and the state's competitiveness. SB 1123 is still active and has been referred to the Assembly Committees on Economic Development, Growth & Household Impact and Judiciary

AB 2124 - Third Party Review of Cost of Energy Policy Decisions (Support)

AB 2124 promotes greater transparency and accountability by requiring an independent analysis of legislation that could increase electricity or natural gas costs. Before lawmakers vote on measures that may affect utility rates, the bill would provide an objective review of the potential costs and impacts on businesses and consumers. Supporting AB 2124 helps ensure informed decision-making and gives policymakers a clearer understanding of how proposed legislation could affect California's affordability and economic competitiveness. AB 2124 has been re-referred to the Assembly Committee on Appropriations.

Join us on October 8th from 10:00AM-12:00PM for the District 6 Congressional Candidates Forum @the Grounds Johnson Hall. This nonpartisan discussion will feature Congressman Kevin Kiley and Dr. Richard Pan, discussing the priorities facing our region moderated by Nikki Laurenzo from FOX40. Registration and sponsorship information can be found on our website.
