I had the opportunity to visit the Roseville Fire Department’s Fire Kids Camp this week at the invitation of the department, and it was inspiring to see firsthand the impact this program has on local youth. Campers spend a week learning firefighting basics, rescue techniques, first aid, teamwork, leadership, and more while working alongside Roseville firefighters. The experience not only builds confidence and life skills but also provides a unique glimpse into careers in public safety. Thank you to the dedicated firefighters, staff, and volunteers who invest their time in creating such a meaningful program for the next generation. | | | |

| | | It was a productive week for the Membership Team. We started the week off with our Home Services Roundtable, bringing together home service provider members to connect and collaborate. | | | On Tuesday, we hosted our monthly EDG (Entrepreneur Development Group), facilitated by Dr. Brian Gladden, followed by our monthly luncheon, where attendees learned from Lt. Tyler Neher about the Placer Cold Case Foundation. Their mission is to support families and keep Placer County cold cases alive until they are solved. | | | On Wednesday our Women in Business group held a joint member mixer with SRBX, with approximately 60 attendees, and IGNITE hosted a Coffee Chat today at Bloom Coffee and Tea. | | | There, Mike Shellito, from the Leadership Roseville Steering Committee shared more about the Leadership Roseville program, highlighting some of the experiences, community building, and opportunities available by being part of the program. He encouraged attendees to make sure to look into the program, as applications are now open and will close on July 10th! Thank you to all who attended for such a great morning! | | | |
We also celebrated Sacred Studios and Nexus Lounge & VR with a ribbon cutting and were pleased to welcome five new members this week:
- Air Force Sergeants Association
- BJS Law, Inc.
- IMAGE Studios Roseville
- Baseline Juice LLC
- Behind the Badge - Golden State Troopers

AB1776 - Antitrust (Oppose)
AB 1776 would significantly expand California antitrust liability beyond federal standards, increasing litigation risk and regulatory uncertainty for businesses. Opponents argue the bill could discourage investment, innovation, and legitimate business practices by creating broader avenues for antitrust claims. The measure has passed the Assembly and is currently pending in the Senate. Hearing set June 30th State Senate Judiciary Committee. Small business focus letter coming soon from CalChamber and will be sent out via Friday Five once received.
