Do you remember where you were and what you were doing 25 years ago?

Please join us in taking a moment to pause, reflect, and remember.

A display of 3,000 flags will be on view at Vernon Town Square from sunrise to sunset. Each flag represents a life forever changed and serves as a reminder of the strength, courage, and unity that emerged in the days that followed.

We invite you to stop by, take a moment of quiet reflection, and remember those whose lives were forever changed.

We look forward to celebrating 30 years of SPLASH with you tomorrow at the Roseville Aquatics Complex!

What a great week in the Chamber community!

We kicked things off with 100 local professionals gathering at our September Luncheon at Randy Peters Catering & Event Center. Craig Perra with Mindful Habit Coaching shared insights on self-leadership, with plenty of great takeaways for everyone in the room!

On Wednesday, we joined the Latino Leadership Council for its 12th Annual Forum, focused this year on bridging immigration policy and its impact on our communities. It was a great turnout of community leaders, business professionals, and residents for an important conversation centered on connection, education, and understanding. Thank you to the LLC for another impactful event!

On Thursday, we had another reason to celebrate as we gathered to welcome Oaken & Co. with a Ribbon Cutting! We love celebrating our members and supporting their success as they grow in our community.

We are excited to welcome five new members to the Chamber this week! Please join us in giving them a warm welcome:

  • University Conservatory of Ballet, LLC
  • TDI
  • H.A. Skin Lab
  • Law Office of Daniel A. Hunt
  • Sports Basement

Ignite Young Professionals gathered at Waymaker Brewing on Thursday for a fun evening of networking, conversation, and connecting with fellow young professionals. It was a great opportunity to build new relationships, grow professional circles, and enjoy some local brews along the way!

California Heat Illness Prevention Standards: Proposed Updates

Cal/OSHA is considering updates to California’s workplace heat illness prevention standards for both indoor and outdoor workplaces. The proposed changes are being developed under AB 2243 and would update existing requirements in the state’s heat illness regulations. A revised draft was released in August 2026, and interested parties can submit comments through September 21, 2026.

Current California requirements already require employers to take steps to protect workers from heat illness. For outdoor workplaces, this includes providing fresh drinking water, access to shade, cool-down rest periods, employee training, and a written heat illness prevention plan. Additional requirements apply to certain industries when temperatures reach 95°F or higher.

Why it matters: Businesses with indoor or outdoor employees should stay informed about the proposed changes and review their current heat illness prevention procedures to ensure they remain compliant.
