| | | Members are invited to attend the upcoming Joint Government Relations Committee Meeting on Wednesday, June 17 at the McBean Pavilion in Lincoln. This month’s featured update will highlight plans for the Regional Public Safety Training Center, with guest speaker Willy Duncan, President of Sierra College. Complimentary breakfast will be provided thanks to event sponsors, including the Placer County Association of Realtors. Seating is limited, so members are encouraged to RSVP early. | | | The California State Legislature's House of Origin deadline for any proposed bills to be passed is today. All proposed bills must pass through their corresponding chamber, either Assembly or Senate. With over 560 bills under consideration — more than 400 measures in the Assembly and approximately 130 measures in the Senate — lawmakers are working through a busy final stretch before legislation advances to the opposite chamber for further review and debate. The coming weeks will determine which proposals continue moving forward this legislative session and which measures stall before reaching the Governor’s desk. | | | | | |
