A Message from the Headmaster

Dear Archway Trivium Families,

Today marks the completion of our first full week of school. For my part, it feels like we are in mid-season form. Our returning teachers picked up right where they left off last year without any noticeable regression. Our new teachers have stepped right in and adopted the culture of the academy and are integrating themselves. As always, pick-up and drop-off are terribly obnoxious for the moment. We never seem to get that quite right until the end of the second week. So, we have that to look forward to!

I feel truly blessed to work with such wonderful people in so beautiful an endeavor. Every day, I get to wake up and position nearly 100 teachers to provide the best liberal arts education to 900 of the most splendid children I could imagine. What could be better than that! I hope that your children enjoyed this week as much as I did, and I hope that all within the Trivium community can carry that joy with us throughout this entire school year.

Reminder: No Student Drop-off/Pick-up on Granada/Palm Lane

As a reminder, there is no student pick up/drop off allowed from Granada/Palm Lane. For the safety of all, please follow the school traffic flow outlined in the Family Handbook. Thank you for your cooperation to help make pick up and drop off run safely and smoothly.

2026-27 ESEA Form Now Due

This is a friendly reminder that the ESEA form must be completed for every enrolled student for the 2026–2027 school year. The form is now available in your Enrollment Parent Portal. Follow the link below to go directly to the Enrollment Parent Portal. 

Your response—regardless of eligibility—helps secure important funding for tutoring, technology, teacher training, and more.

Online ordering is now available at: ordernow.myhotlunchbox.com/. If you are a first-time customer, visit the My Hot Lunchbox website to create your free account. Families with students at both Archway Trivium and Trivium Prep schools should create only ONE account per family.

Important Note: You will need to update your profile with the student's grade for the current school year in the "My Profiles" section before ordering.

The Trivium Lunch Program is entirely managed and distributed by our Parent Service Organization volunteers. This program is open to all students, faculty, and staff at Trivium. 

Volunteer in the Lunch Room

The Archway Trivium PSO invites parent volunteers to help in the Archway Trivium Lunchroom! Parent volunteers can assist in serving the food, helping the younger children in the lunchroom, ensuring the lunch room remains clean and lunch period runs smoothly. You can sign up to volunteer once a month, once a week, or every day. It’s a very important volunteer role that also makes for a fun view into your scholar’s life at school!

All volunteers MUST be verified through the Great Heart volunteer application (Raptor) and have completed the Archway Trivium Volunteer Training prior to serving. Raptor clearance must be renewed annually based on application date.

Ways to Participate:

Volunteer as a Hot Lunch Server 

This role is responsible for organizing the lunches by grade and distributing them to the students as they come in for lunch. Please plan to be there from 10:30am-12:50pm. Volunteers will receive a lunch account credit with My Hot Lunchbox. The credit is $5 per person per day, and the volunteer must be registered to MHL with a matching email to receive the credit. The credits will be tallied monthly and credited to your account within the first 2 weeks of the following month. Please email psolunch@archwaytrivium.org if you have any questions regarding the credits. Children are not permitted to help with this volunteer position.

Volunteer as a Lunchroom Helper

This role was created to assist our 1st-5th grade classes and help keep the lunchroom clean and running smoothly. Please plan to be there from 10:45am-1:00pm. Younger siblings are welcome to serve alongside parents as a “Lunchroom Buddy.”

Cheer Camp and SportsKidz AZ start next week!

Registration for our Wednesday, Quarter 1 and vendor-led clubs is now open. Additional fall-semester faculty-led clubs will be announced in the coming weeks. Registration is offered on a first come, first serve basis, so don't delay! If a club is full, please join the wait list to be notified should additional spots become available.

Popsicles in the Park - Saturday, August 22, 9-11 AM

Join us for PSO Popsicles in the Park on Saturday, August 22 from 9-11 AM at Goodyear Community Park (3151 N. Litchfield Road, Goodyear). Spend time with other Archway Trivium families and help us welcome new families! Popsicles provided! Wear your swim suits and remember your sunscreen, water bottles, towel & park blanket or camp chair.

PSO All-Parent General Meeting - Monday, August 24, 8:30 AM 

All Archway Trivium parents and guardians are encouraged to join us on Monday, August 24 for our PSO All-Parent Meeting and Coffee with the Headmaster. Don't miss the chance to connect, share, and get involved at our school. Younger children welcome.

Families may park in spaces along the north edge of campus or along pickup lanes around the field after 8:05 AM and enter campus through the MPR. Please do not park in Student Parking.

K-5 School Picture Day is Tuesday, August 25

Archway Trivium is partnering with Grads Photography for our school pictures and yearbook. School Picture Day is Tuesday, August 25. Students must wear their school uniform and follow dress code on Picture Day. Follow the link below to pre-order online.

If you would like to serve as a parent volunteer on Picture Day, please sign up in Membership ToolKit. You must have current Raptor clearance to serve on campus.

K-5 Curriculum Night for Parents - Thursday, August 27

Please join us for our K-5 Parent-only Curriculum Night on Thursday, August 27. Parents will meet with teachers in the classrooms to learn more about the grade-level curriculum. Children should not attend.

On this night, we encourage parents to attend our Spalding Phonics/Singapore Math information session. Join us in the MPR from 5:10-6:00pm for an overview of our phonics and math curricula. Parents will learn about the curriculum, walk through examples, and have the opportunity to ask questions. 

There are two identical curricular sessions offered for parents with students in different grade levels. We hope you can join us for this event!

Thursday, August 27 (Two Identical Curricular Sessions):

Curricular Session 1: 4:30-5:00 PM

Singapore/Spalding: 5:10-6:00pm (MPR)

Curricular Session 2: 6:10-6:40 PM

Archway Spirit Day is the half day Friday, August 28!



Our first Archway Spirit Day is the half day, Friday, August 28. Students at Archway Trivium are encouraged to wear Spirit Wear on this days.

Spirit Wear Guidelines:

Archway scholars may wear one of the following shirts: Archway Trivium Spirit Wear, a Class t-shirt, an Archway athletics t-shirt, a Run the Virtues 5K t-shirt, Trivium Prep spirit wear, any previously purchased Archway Trivium West/East spirit wear, or a solid t-shirt in school colors (blue, white, gray, or black). This is optional and a uniform shirt can always be worn. All other uniform components should be worn according to our dress code. Show your school spirit!

Audition for the Trivium Talent Show - August 28

We will be hosting a Talent Show in the gym on Saturday, September 12 at 4 PM. Students in Grades 4-12 are invited to audition a talent to share at this fun, community event! Auditions will be held on afternoon of the half day, Friday, August 28, from 1:30-2:30pm (parents must pick up their student at 11:50am and return for auditions). Please sign up below if your student would like to participate. We can't wait to see our scholars shine!

Audition for the Trivium Talent Show

Save the Date for our Family Glow Dance - Saturday, September 19

Save the Date for our annual school-wide family dance on Satruday, September 19 from 6-8pm! Wear your vibrant neons or bright white to take full advantage of this fun night. Light snacks will be provided, as well as some glowing fun to kick start the evening!

Please note that a parent/guardian must be in attendance with their own student - they may not be brought by another student's parent. In order to keep this event geared for our Archway students, older siblings (6th-12th grades) are unable to attend.

Volunteer to Support Hearing and Vision Screenings

Calling all volunteers! Assisting with the annual hearing and vision screenings is a great way to get involved on campus. Archway Trivium will be screening students September 1-4. You do not need to be experienced to assist in these super easy and fun screenings! We will provide you with training before we get started and each screening only takes a few minutes per scholar. You must have a current Raptor clearance to serve.

Volunteer Clearance Reminders:

As this school year comes to a close and we begin to prepare for the 2026-27 school year, the Great Hearts Security Team would like to share a few reminders regarding volunteer clearance:

1. If you were approved to volunteer this school year, please note your application approval is valid for one-year from the date of approval. For example, an application approved on 6/1/2026 will expire on 6/1/2027.
2. The Raptor system will send a reminder email 60 days prior to your application expiration date and again five days before expiration.
3. If you obtained a Fingerprint Clearance card this year as part of your volunteer approval, Great Hearts still requires you to complete a new Raptor application annually based on your application expiration date. If necessary, your Fingerprint Clearance card information may be used to support approval of future applications through the card’s expiration date.

The Athenaeum After-School Program is so much more than just ‘after-care’. Serving Grades K-5, Athenaeum is a comprehensive program that has the same culture and educational focus as the academy. Each day, students are provided with time for homework completion in addition to time for recreation, games, snack, socializing with friends, and enriching hands-on activities that follow a unique monthly theme.

Athenaeum is available from dismissal to 6:00 PM on all days the academy is in session.

School Messenger Communication

Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
