A Message from Headmaster Scott
What Is Success
--- by Ralph Waldo Emerson
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and
the affection of children;
To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure
the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of one's self;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and
sung with exultation;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you
have lived -
This is to have succeeded.
Heartily Devoted,
Dr. Clay Scott
Headmaster

PSO Snowstorm - 2021 Faculty and Staff Holiday Appreciation
** LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GIVE! **
| | |
The PSO Snowstorm is underway, now through December 9! Snowstorm is an easy way to show love to our teachers during the holidays. Families who contribute to Snowstorm by TODAY, Friday December 3 will have their scholar’s name printed in a holiday card presented to teachers and staff during a special holiday breakfast in early December.
Each year at the holidays, our community joins in the collective giving spirit in a tradition known as Snowstorm. In lieu of gifts for each of your scholar’s six teachers, show your appreciation by giving an offering of thanks to be divided among Archway Trivium West faculty and staff. This year, we are asking families to consider a gift of $50 per scholar to help us reach our $10,000 goal. This would mean a holiday gift of $175 for each full-time staff member! Snowstorm is a unique opportunity to show support to our wonderful community and is a beloved tradition here at Archway Trivium West. A donations of ANY amount is greatly appreciated, after first giving to Community Investment.
Follow the steps below to help us Fall into a Snowstorm!
Families who have not already given are asked to first give to Community Investment before giving a Snowstorm Holiday Gift. Please consider giving to help us reach our goal!
First, Give to Community Investment
Then, Give to the PSO Snowstorm
Additionally, if they have not already done so, students are encouraged to decorate and return in their holiday cutouts to their classrooms on Monday.

Thank you to all our new donors that joined our Community Investment Campaign between 11/1/2021 and 12/1/2021, including all those that made it possible for us to unlock the $2,500 Participation Challenge issued by Matt and Stephanie Pangrazio! You can see our full list of donors here. Archway Trivium West relies on your partnership in this Campaign to support the important things like teacher salaries, our daily Specials, and to keep our lights on. If you have yet to support our Campaign, please visit us online to make a one-time or monthly gift that fits your budget. It is not too late to pledge* or give a gift to the school! bit.ly/ArchwayTriviumCI
*Pledging your Community Investment gift means set it up online to draw as a one-time gift or as a monthly gift any date between today and 6/30/2022.

Academy Giving | Tax Credit | |
Congratulations to Ms. Uphoff for being randomly selected to receive a $25 Amazon gift card in our faculty TAX CREDIT DRIVE drawing. We are excited to report that a majority of Archway Trivium faculty and staff have already participated in the 2021 AZ Public School Tax Credit. They do so by redirecting their tax dollars at the point at which they are deducted via Payroll/HR. They have so far re-directed just over $11,000 of their AZ state tax dollars to benefit Archway Trivium, collectively contributing 17% of our Tax Credit goal!!!! Thank them, and then DO THE SAME!!!
Thank you to Cain Orthodontics for sponsoring all of our Tax Credit Drive 2021 incentives again this year…All you have to do is PLEDGE* your Tax Credit here before the listed dates to be included in the drawing for that week.

Q&A Session with with Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) - Thursday, December 9, 6 PM | |
This year, Archway Trivium West will be working with the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) on a project regarding a universal screening for social challenges for public schools. The idea is that screening children for social challenges early and identifying and addressing those challenges will have a significant positive effect on their school experience. We plan take a role in the research that SARRC is doing in this area this year. Some frequently asked questions about this project are addressed here.
You are also invited to a Q&A session with Headmaster Scott, Great Hearts’ Director of Exceptional Student Services, and a representative from SARRC regarding the project. At this session you will hear more about the work that SARRC and Great Hearts have already done and plans for the project in the future.
The Q&A session is scheduled for Thursday, December 9 at 6:00 PM in the Archway MPR. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for your patience and caution during student drop-off and pick-up. The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance.
As a reminder, to minimize the backup of traffic on Encanto/Bullard before the end of the school day, we are closing the Encanto entrance to our school parking lot from 2:35-3:00pm. Goodyear Police will be monitoring traffic on Encanto and Bullard during this time, and if you are stopped on one of these roads waiting to enter campus, you may be ticketed.
On Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, families who are picking up Archway-only students should arrive to campus AFTER 3:10 PM. Families picking up both Archway and Prep students, please remind your Prep students to arrive to the pick-up zone promptly.
On Wednesdays, families picking up BOTH Archway and Prep students are asked to arrive AFTER 1:40 PM. On Wednesdays, families picking up Archway-only should arrive at 1:25PM.
Parents picking up Archway students from school MUST use the Archway pickup line. Prep students picking up Archway students to meet a parent driver may NOT load into a car in the Prep pick-up line or on Palm Lane. The entrance/exit to our parking lot from Encanto Blvd is right turn only.
