A Message from the Headmaster
Dear Archway Trivium Families,
As we begin our second half of the school year, I would like to share 8 victories our academy experienced in Semester 1.
- Kindness- We have had fewer incidents of unkind behavior than we normally have in a semester.
- Reading- Every grade level has outperformed its growth projection in reading comprehension.
- Babies- We have had 4 babies born to teachers at our academy!
- Degrees- We had one TA complete her student-teaching and earn her degree. We will have two more do their student-teaching this semester as well.
- Grants- Between Fiesta Bowl charities and APS, we had 5 teachers win grants to help supply our classrooms.
- Socratic math- With added focus from our instructional coaches, our teachers have improved significantly in Socratic instruction in math classes.
- Intervention- Our revised data review system has allowed us to more effectively identify students in need of academic and/or behavior interventions.
- Math homework- From my informal discussion, it appears that our change in math homework in grades 2-5 has reduced homework stress for many of our families.
Heartily Devoted,
Clay Scott, Ed.D.

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
