A Message from Dr. Scott
Dear Archway Trivium Families,
I’ve been thinking about how to share my vision for our academy in a clear, rich, and beautiful way. I wanted to create a statement that represents our faculty at our best. Here is what I came up with:
At Archway Trivium,
We Choose Joy Together
We choose joy in our relationships by exhibiting unquenchable goodwill toward students, parents, and each other. We joyfully work to connect with each other and to strengthen those connections often. We seek out opportunities to collaborate in our work and shun myopic decision making. We are quick to forgive and slow to take offense.
We choose joy in our academics by developing ourselves intellectually. Our utmost desire in our work is that each lesson carries echoes of the greatest ideas from the greatest thinkers of Western civilization.
We choose joy in establishing order in our souls and in our classrooms. We know that external order reflects internal order. Internal order is established when reason governs appetites through the spirit (thumos). We revel in opportunities to engage in the humble work of reflection and internal development. We question our assumptions and actively seek feedback and coaching.
By choosing joy together in these three ways we will more effectively and humanely cultivate the minds and hearts of students and engage more fully in a united pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.
Heartily Devoted,
Clay Scott
Headmaster

Don’t forget to contribute your tax dollars to Trivium through the AZ Public School Tax Credit before you file your 2022 tax returns. The amount you contribute (maximum $200 single filers/$400 married filing jointly) will either be ADDED to your tax refund or used to offset anything you owe to the state of AZ. One of the biggest ways our Tax Credit dollars are used at Archway is to help keep out-of-pocket field trip fees affordable for families!
| |
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Kelly & Tiffany Colborn & Family (Kaden Colborn ’26 accepting on their behalf) for doing their Tax Credit and winning our Tax Credit Spring Training package. They are headed to watch the Diamondbacks and Reds play tomorrow night at the Goodyear Ballpark. Thank you to our sponsor, McFall Tire & Auto.
We are currently at 49% to goal, and below are the current standings for our Dunk a Dean.
VOTE TODAY for the Dean you most want to see dunked when we meet our Tax Credit goal!! Currently, Mrs. Arbogast is in the lead.
| | In order to help us reach our Tax Credit goal, we need your help to spread the news with all your AZ friends and family; they, too, can direct their AZ Public School Tax Credit to Trivium. Over the Break, your “homework” is to contribute your Tax Credit if you haven’t yet, and then write down a list of AZ friends and family that you can ask: “Have your done your AZ Public School Tax Credit to a school yet? If not, please give it to Trivium!” Visit our website if you need additional information about how the Tax Credit works. Every classroom that brings in at least 8 more Tax Credits between TODAY and 4/15 will earn “PAJAMAS & POPCORN!” The Tax Credit can come from your own family, or it can be a Tax Credit from the anyone who lists your family’s name in the Student Referral so we can credit your child’s classroom. If you have multiple children, each of their classes will get credit! | |

Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off/Pick-up | |
With the expansion of Archway and addition of the new building, there are significant changes to the traffic flow for the upcoming school year. Please carefully review the new Archway Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and reach out with any questions. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.
Carpooling Update: Our east side pick-up lane has had a faster track and will now be our designated carpool lane.
If you have 2 or more Archway ONLY pick-up cards, you will be guided into this fast-track lane for a faster pick-up. Please be sure to have your pick-up cards ready to show our traffic controllers that you are carpooling so they can guide you to the appropriate lane. To maintain the flow of pick-up, others may be directed to the fast-track lane, but carpools will be given priority. Please do not enter the carpool lanes until you are directed to do so.
As a reminder, if you are picking up Middle School students DO NOT ARRIVE to campus before 3:15 PM. This creates significant delays. If you arrive before 3:15, we will ask you to go back into our pick-up lanes and try again.
Please follow the link below to review the DETAILED Archway Traffic Flow Plan and be sure to share this link with anyone authorized to drop-off/pick-up your children.
