FRIDAY FLASH

May 20, 2022

A Message from Headmaster Scott

Dear Archway Trivium West Families,

The end of a school year is always a time of change. Every student in the school is preparing to take on a new role. Usually it is still the role of a student, but in a higher grade. This may seem subtle, but there are significant differences in expectations from one grade to the next, and so the role is different. Likewise, teachers will often shift roles. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you all of some leadership changes that will be happening for the upcoming school year.

The first change is sad for us, but a great opportunity for Ms. Ingersoll. It seems that we did a terrible job of keeping her greatness a secret. She was approached a short time ago and offered a wonderful position outside of Great Hearts. After many years as a parent, teacher, and dean, she will be taking her leave. We appreciate her excellence and golden heart, and wish her all the best the world has to offer.

In the second place, we will welcome two teachers to new roles as deans next year. Mrs. Higbee and Ms. Vasquez will join the leadership team as deans next year. Mrs. Higbee, who has long been excellent in preparing her class a grade level for state tests, will take on the role of Dean of Academics. In addition to testing and academic interventions, she will also serve as the academy 504 coordinator. Ms. Vasquez will help keep our campus moving forward as our Dean of Operations. This is a position with a wide range of responsibilities in operations, culture, and academics. Her wealth of knowledge and experience will be drawn upon in multiple ways in this new role.

Finally, we will welcome a new(ish) face to our leadership team. Mrs. Christen Arbogast, who is currently serving as a middle school teacher at Trivium Prep, will join the leadership team as our Dean of Faculty. In this role, she will support the growth and development of our teachers.

Please welcome our new deans to their respective roles. I am confident in their abilities to serve our community well. Have a great weekend, it’s the last one of the year!

Heartily Devoted,

Clay Scott

Take the PSO Community Survey!

The PSO Board has already begun planning for next year and we want to ensure that all voices in our community are heard. We have created a brief (it should only take a few minutes!) survey to gather feedback in this year’s PSO events and activities. We will donate $1 to the library for every survey submitted! Remember - everyone is part of the PSO (no initiation and no dues!) and the PSO Board is deeply appreciative of your thoughts.
