A Message from the Headmaster

Dear Archway Trivium Families,

As we close out this school year, I ask that you take some time to contemplate the growth your scholars and your family have made. As with every school year, and as with life, the year was a mixture of beautiful, exhilarating vistas, heart-wrenching trials, and a lot regular days. The regular days included walking in lines and solving the mystery of magnetism. They also included speaking kindly to a friend and identifying the job of the silent final e. Our scholars did each of these well. Last week we sent off the graduating class of 2025. Our senior class is remarkable, and full of amazing young men and women. The change from where our scholars are today to where they will be when they walk across that stage does not happen in the exciting activities, the games they win, or the hardships. Those things all help, and they punctuate the journey, but growth happens in the regular days. I am grateful that we had so many regular days for our scholars to habituate toward the Good. Thank you for sharing this academic year with us!

Heartily devoted,

Clay Scott, Ed.D.

Headmaster

Family Giving Update

Trivium Families,

As you may already know a generous Trivium family, who wishes to remain anonymous, has pledged to match every new recurring Community Investment gift, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000, now through June 30, 2025. We are happy to announce we have maximized this amazing match opportunity. Great Hearts Day of Giving had the triple match opportunity which allowed us to fully utilize the $50,000 for our community investment fund. Community Investment supports our core education of Music, Language, and Art programs and these programs would not be possible without our community investing in them.

We are truly grateful for all the families who stepped up to help fund our academy. We had a 5% growth in participation which is great news.

Our goal was to increase participation by 10% so unfortunately our scholars will not receive a free-dress day—and both Headmasters will not be slimed by our scholars during a special assembly this year. I know we will all come together as a community to grow our giving as it is vital for our school’s success. Last year 27% of our school participated in family giving. This year our participating increased to 32%. We are on the right track! Let us all continue to help grow our school and community with great hearts!

Best,

Aydin Martin | Family Giving & Community Engagement Officer

Summer Reading Challenge

Archway Trivium is sponsoring a Summer Reading Challenge for Kindergarten through Fourth Graders. This is not a mandatory program and participation is not required; we just want to promote a fun way to encourage reading over summer! We will have a reading celebration for the participants with popsicles and an extra recess near the end of the first quarter of 2025-26 school year. Reading logs were sent home this week. A copy can also be found on the school's website.

Health Office Reminders

Medication Pick Up Alert

Parents of Archway Scholars:

If you have provided medication or medical supplies to the Archway Health Office, please contact 623-249-4591 to arrange for pick up. Routine medications can be picked up as early as 5/20/2025, during school hours. Emergency medications cannot be returned until 5/22/2025, during school hours. Any medications and/or medical supplies that are not picked up by noon on 5/22/2025 will be disposed of. We are unable to store medications at school over the summer. Just a reminder: Students are not allowed to carry medication to or from school unless they have self-carry authorization on file. Action plans must be renewed each school year. Visit the Great Hearts Health Office website for 25-26 Action Plans.

2025-2026 Asthma, Allergy, and Seizure Action Plans

Action plans & medication consent forms must be renewed each school year. Please visit https://arizona.greatheartsamerica.org/academy-life/health-office/ for 2025-2026 documents to provide to your scholar's health care provider. All emergency medications must accompany an action plan.

6th Grade Immunization Requirements

Parents of Rising 6th Graders:

Your child has had/or is about to have their 11th birthday, and we wanted to remind you of an important requirement in accordance with Arizona State Law (A.R.S 15-872). All students must provide proof of immunizations or a valid exemption to attend school.

It is mandatory for all students who turn 11 to receive the Meningococcal and Tdap immunizations. The Meningococcal vaccine protects against the meningitis bacteria, while the Tdap vaccine safeguards against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).

Please schedule an appointment with your child's pediatrician during their 11th year and provide the school with an updated copy of their immunization record afterward. It's crucial to note that the State of Arizona has adjusted their compliance rules, and your child will not be compliant once they turn 12. If the school does not have proof of these immunizations or a valid exemption after your child turns 12, they will not be able to attend school per Arizona State Law.

Yearbooks

Archway Trivium yearbooks were distributed on Friday, May 16. If you did not purchase a yearbook and would still like to, follow the link below. Yearbooks will be sold while supplies last, after which time you will be prompted to join the waitlist.

Order a Yearbook

If you are unsure if you already purchased a 24-25 yearbook, log in to your account and select "My Account" -> "Order History: View Orders You have Placed." Please not, you can no longer order through the yearbook website. You must use the new link above to order a yearbook through Configio.

Configio/Parent Payment Portal Refunds for Charges made prior to Nov 1

Please be aware that some refunds for purchases made in the Configio/Parent Payment Portal prior to November 1 may not be processed back to the original credit card used. In these instances, you will receive an email with a secure link from Kleercard, prompting you to enter your ACH information for the refund. This is a legitimate process and not a phishing attempt. The link from Kleercard is safe and does not provide anyone at Great Hearts access to your account information. Using Kleercard allows for a quicker and more secure refund process than mailing a paper check through the United States Postal Service. If you prefer to receive your refund via a paper check, please contact your campus office manager.

Communication Updates

Latest News image.png

School Messenger Communication

Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.

Email Communications

If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.

You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
