A Message from the Headmaster
Dear Archway Trivium Families,
Today we mark the end of the first quarter of our academic year. It is a good opportunity to take stock of the growth and the challenges we have experienced thus far. For many, the great success of each academic year is simply surviving the heat of August and September while getting the pick-up system solidified. I accept that as a valid position, but we have done so much more. As an academy, we have enjoyed some great field trips and grade-level events. We used manipulatives in math lessons more consistently, which has led to more Socratic teaching. Our teachers were fully prepared and equipped to begin reading groups early this year, allowing for a quick start on this front.
Those accomplishments demonstrate our growth from an academic perspective. We have also accomplished much as a community. Our teachers have been exceptionally invested in connecting with families early. Our PSO board experienced significant change yet was able to hit the ground running. Opportunities to volunteer abound and we even had our inaugural Dad’s Club meeting.
Thank you all for everything you do to help these and many more success come to pass! I hope you have an exceptional fall break, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Heartily Devoted,
Clay Scott, Ed. D.
Headmaster, Archway Trivium

Parent/Teacher Conferences - October 14-15 |
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday - Tuesday, October 14-15. These evaluation conferences run 15 minutes as you meet with your child's homeroom teachers. You may also sign up to meet with specials teachers during conference week. The evaluation meetings are designed so your child's teacher may further describe their academic performance and discuss any questions you may have. These conferences are for parents/guardians only. Students should not be on campus on conference days. If you haven't already done so, you will need to create an account in MTK in order to sign-up. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions or for information regarding sign-ups.

Quarter 1 Student Evaluations |
K-5 student evaluations for Quarter 1 will be available by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11 in the Powerschool Parent Portal. We ask that parents please log on to the parent portal before the office closes for fall break to ensure that you are able to access your account to view your child's evaluations. A successful login attempt will result in a message indicating the portal is closed. The portal will remain disabled until evaluations go out. At that time, the portal will be opened temporarily for you to view your students' report card(s). You will be notified by email on October 11 when evaluations are ready to view.
- If your child was a student at Archway Trivium last year, you will use the same login as last year.
- If you have new students for the 2024-25 school year (example: returning 4th grader but a new kindergartener or new from outside of the Great Hearts network), you will receive an email with their Access ID and Password information to add them to your existing account by Wednesday, September 25.
- If you are new to Archway Trivium this year but attended another Great Hearts school last year, you will still use the same login and password that you used last year.
You can access the Powerschool Parent Portal website here. We have found that using Google Chrome or Firefox as your web browser is best. Please reach out to Stefany Dean at sdean@archwaytrivium.org if you have any questions about your Powerschool Parent Portal account.

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
