A Message from the Headmaster
Dear Archway Trivium Families,
There is a moment in each day that our entire community, including parents, teachers, and scholars all come together to accomplish a task. This is, of course, our moments when scholars are coming onto and off campus. It is easy to model virtue when that is the focus. It is much harder while in the midst of conflicting interests and in the face of life’s many stressors. When I think about the great families I have the pleasure to work with, it is a conversation with a parent in the pick-up line that truly exemplifies our community.
One hot Arizona afternoon I had a long-time parent stop in the car line to share with me how another car had made a dangerous maneuver and almost caused an accident. She pointed out the car a few spots ahead of her. It was at this point that I was able to share something with her. Just a minute before, the other parent had also stopped. With her heart still pounding, she confessed that she had cut another car off and almost caused an accident. The offending parent knew that she could not solve the problem, but she trusted me to convey her deepest apologies to the parent in the other car. The upset parent softened immediately because she could see the heart and experience the humanity of the other. What a beautiful moment!
Returning to practical matters, there are a few things that can happen to make the experience safer and more enjoyable for all. The first thing is to join a carpool. We have a special lane during pick-up for carpools, so early arrivers can skip the long line. The second thing is to please be mindful of pedestrians, especially at the intersection of Bullard and Encanto. We have a lot of pedestrian students and we all have a part in keeping them safe. Finally, like the parents involved in my story, please keep a spirit of goodwill toward others. We are on the same team. Thank you all!
Heartily devoted,
Clay Scott, Ed.D.

It has been such a joy to see students back on campus, learning, growing, and spending time with their classmates. We know you have many choices for your child’s education, and we are truly grateful you’ve chosen us at Trivium.
Now that the year is underway, we’re excited to launch our Annual Campaigns: Community Investment and the Public-School Tax Credit Drive.
These two campaigns are critical to our success. They help fund the daily operations of our school and allow us to offer the excellent programs that would not be possible with public funding alone.
Each year, there is a funding deficit between what we receive from the state and the true cost of educating our students. That gap is filled through the support of generous families like yours. Your support makes a real impact.
When you give to Community Investment you help fund the most essential parts of Trivium including our amazing teachers and college counselors, small class sizes, and full-time campus security. You also make possible our robust core curriculum that includes rich fine arts and foreign language programs, along with access to dual credit courses that allow students to earn college credit while still in high school.
When you make a Tax Credit Contribution, you help us provide a strong athletics program as well as fun and affordable extracurricular opportunities for all students. These offerings enrich student life and help build a thriving, well-rounded campus community.
To the families who have already given this year, thank you. We truly appreciate your support.
If you haven’t given yet, we invite you to join us by making a one-time or monthly gift to Community Investment and by directing your Tax Credit to Trivium. We ask that you give at a level that fits your family’s budget. Every gift makes a difference.

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
