For those still nursing that election energy high, I have good news. Next week there is an opportunity to get your Robert’s Rules of Order-fix on Thursday, August 27th at the Rec. Barn at 6:00 pm for the regular monthly meeting. If you were worried that you would have to wait an entire month to see your favorite local celebs in action as they govern our little piece of the world, have no fear. There is a lot on the agenda! Let’s dive in.
We like to start with real star power in the form of a report from our local Sheriff’s rep. Senior Deputy Hammon. Followed by the obligatory housekeeping items on the consent agenda – minutes, financials, etc. Then to the real meat and potatoes of local governance in action. The Board will install the 2026-2027 officers (Pres, V.P., Treasurer, and Secretary). Next, they will consider the rest of the 2026-2027 Board Meeting Schedule. Spoiler alert BOD meetings are always on the 4th Thursday of the month, except when they aren’t. Consult your local listings (HROA.us, scroll halfway down in the middle of the page). The Board will consider appointments of chair and vice chairmanships to all the committees and a resolution on check signing. That gets us through Item 11.
Now for the Main Event (cue announcer voice with echo reverb) 2026 Paving and Road Repair Contract Work! This is really exciting, because it is an opportunity to address some of the worst areas on the Ranch that we have all had to drive over at one time or another. The total possible amount tops $604,000. Yes, you read that right we are looking to spend over half a million dollars on fixing roads this year. There are too many sections to describe here, but we will go into painstaking detail in the meeting or feel free to reach out for more specifics. Generally, we are looking at the worst parts of Heritage Loop Rd., Heritage Rd. the Marina and Valley Ln.
They will finish things off with the consideration of appointments for the remaining voting members to the committees. We hope to see you there and around the Ranch!
Have a great weekend.
Jim
