Volunteers Needed for Health Screening


MacLaren will screen the vision and hearing of over 600 students November 1214. Approved volunteers are greatly needed to accomplish these screenings. Please complete a Volunteer Application if you have not completed the approval process.


We are offering two shifts per day: morning and afternoon. Please consider signing up for as many shifts as possible and bring your own lunch if staying for the entire day. Please contact Mrs. Fisk with any questions. Thank you in advance for your help!

Lower School Announcements

Lower School Community Folk Dance – October 25


Join us for the Lower School Community Folk Dance, October 25, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the Commons. In this fun, family event, MacLaren music teachers will lead us in laughter, games, and folk dances. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. This is a free event, but registration is required as space is limited.

Upper School Announcements


Music and Muffins – Upper School Orchestra Performances


Upper School orchestra performances during Morning Assembly continue next week. During first semester, parents and guardians are invited to enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks with Mr. LaBadie and other parents the morning of your child's performance. Orchestra IIa performs Tuesday, October 22, and Orchestra IIb performs Thursday, October 24.


Guests may begin the check-in process at the Main Entrance as early as 7:15 a.m. Music and Muffins will be from 7:15 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. in the Upper Commons. Doors will open for guests not wishing to attend Music and Muffins at 7:40 a.m., and the orchestra performance begins at 7:45 a.m. Please allow 10-15 minutes for the check-in process.

High School Fall Social



MacLaren high school students are invited to a Fall Social, Friday, November 1, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the MacLaren Commons. The theme is masquerade.


Tickets are $10 and may be purchased on MySchoolBucks by noon on November 1. Limited on-site registration will be available.


Assistant Heads of School and Deans spoke with all the high school students about dress expectations for the event. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Pingel


Are you available to support the fun with a snack or decoration donation (no volunteer clearance needed), or as an event volunteer? To volunteer at the event, you must have already completed the Volunteer Application.

Check Your Email for Upper School Student Checklist Evaluations


Links to mid-semester checklist evaluations were emailed on Tuesday, October 15, to every Upper School parent/guardian using our Secure Document Delivery system. The link in the email will take you to a secure site where you can read your child's evaluation. The password for your child is his or her birth date typed in this format: mm/dd/yyyy (slashes and zeros are required). 


If you have any difficulties accessing this evaluation, please email the Data Systems Team.

Senior Girls' Volleyball Recognition Night


Senior Girls' Volleyball Athletes will be recognized before the start of the Varsity match on October 29. Families of senior athletes should arrive by 5:00 p.m.

Come support our Highlanders at our HOME events! HS event admission is $6 for K-12 and senior citizens, $7 for adults. MS event admission is $2 for K-12, senior citizens are free, $3 for adults.
