September 11, 2020
Husky Greetings Everyone,

I hope you and yours are healthy and well.

As you know, we are now three weeks into the school year, doing our best in a distance learning format and schedule, trying to offer a classroom experience that is engaging, enjoyable, and rigorous. This week, clubs and activities began making announcements, the student government began meeting, and schedule changes are coming to an end today.

Thank you to those parents of students from the Class of 2021 who were able to join us last night for the first of our Grade Level Gatherings. These evenings represent a tradition started four years ago when, a few weeks into the year, we could take some time together to talk about the issues and events specific to grade levels. Although the meetings are virtual this year, it still offers us all a chance to connect and hear from faculty, administration, and you about how our students are faring.

The schedule for the rest of the Gatherings can be found on the "Announcements and Events" page by clicking the button below, and you can look forward to hearing updates from the staff and your child’s advisor, as well as the parent serving as your Grade Level Parent this year. Although we are just a few weeks in, there is much going on for our students, and we are particularly hoping to answer any questions you may have about the program, events, or expectations in the year ahead.
These have been difficult months, demanding heroism of all kinds from our teachers, our families, and most importantly our children. On this 19th anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11, we honor the heroes who served in that extraordinary time. We all can look to that moment in history and channel a similar resolve to pull ourselves through and emerge stronger and closer than before.

Looking forward to seeing your faces in the weeks ahead,

David
