“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed...
then his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat.”

In all of our gardens there is a battle going on between the weeds and our flowers. We can barely keep up. In this time of pandemic it feels the evil weeds are that virus that has invaded our lives. We are being choked by its presence and its claim on so much of our plans and activities. It has robbed us of some of our future.

The challenge is not to allow the evil to infect our attitude. It may alter our plans but it need not destroy our spirit.

Do not let this time make you cynical about God’s presence or desire to heal and be with you. Do not let it turn you away from doing well for others. Do not let it stop you from seeing the good in others. Do not surrender your joy of the blessings you have. Weeds will always infect our garden but they must never corrupt our hearts! The weeds continue to grow around us but God has planted us in good soil. Do not let evil obscure your goodness.

God’s power is like the mustard seed that grows larger than any other bush or like the yeast that increased the dough beyond imagination. God’s power is greater than any evil. God’s strength is enough!
