You can help!

This year, our summer academy will be unlike any other as we simultaneously run virtual and onsite programs. This summer is demanding more creative solutions, more classes, more food, more interventions, and more results. We appreciate the support of our community to help make this possible for Monterey County youth and teens.

  • Your gift of $25 provides 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and a 12lb USDA produce box (over 28,000 meals will be distributed during the summer months!)
  • Your gift of $75 sponsors a live-streaming Virtual Club class, including art, science, and fitness (35 classes offered weekly!)
  • Your gift of $150 supplies 10 Summer Kits with essential learning materials and fun at-home activities (over 500 kits supplied to children throughout the county!)
  • Your gift of $250 supports a young reader with 3 weeks of Read Naturally literacy intervention with our Education Specialists (75 learners already enrolled!)
Monterey Recreation Division - Virtual Recreation Center is committed to ensuring that our participants have resources to maintain healthy lives, grow meaningful relationships and have motivating experiences. The Virtual Recreation is a temporary measure until they are able to offer in-person programs and services again. In these challenging times, our Virtual Recreation Center will bring programs and resources to you and your family in the comfort of your own home with the hope of making it easier for you to prioritize your health and well-being. We will update this page regularly with new resources as they become available. New weekly activities will be posted every Friday.
