The Governor further relaxed virus restrictions on Wednesday by signing an Executive Order giving additional guidance to employers in office settings. Effective Friday June 4th, employers may allow employees who can verify they're vaccinated to forego masking and social distancing. The requirement in executive order 107 to accommodate remote working arrangements and to reduce on-site staff to the minimal number necessary has been rescinded. The Governor clarified that rescinding the order isn't a requirement to re-enter offices and that employers should continue to work with employees juggling family obligations and childcare.

Governor Murphy also removed the capacity limit on childcare facilities, which was capped at 15 people, effective immediately. Masks will still be required indoors and outdoors at childcare facilities.

On Monday the Department of Education (DOE) released its' plan for the investment of more than $2.76 billion in the American Rescue Plan Federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) funds. ARP ESSER funding provides NJ school districts with direct aid to safely reopen and address the impact of COVID-19 on schools.
