JINGTAMOK: THE RIVERWOOD INDIGENOUS SOCIAL
There will be a special event happening on Saturday, September 21st from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at The Riverwood Conservancy, 4300 Riverwood Park Lane in Mississauga. Learn about traditional Indigenous teachings with Indigenous Knowledge Keepers and Elders, enjoy drumming & dancing and shop with a variety of arts and crafts vendors. If you plan to attend,

YOUTH SURVEY
The United Church of Canada has posted a short survey for young people to answer. The purpose of the survey is, as they put it: "

(just nine questions!) to help us better understand how we can support the participation of young people in the life of the church. You don’t need to answer any personal questions – just let us know how you want to Be the Church."

MISSISSAUGA FOOD BANK
In this role, you'll deliver healthy, nutritious food to neighbours whose mobility challenges prevent them from going to their local food bank.
Do you like to drive? Do you like meeting new people? Then this volunteer position is for you!
THE BIG DIG - ATTN: GARDENERS
The second half of September will be a good time to lift some of the perennials from the garden under the sign for sale next May. Help is needed as follows:
1) 12" plastic pots. Nothing smaller. Set aside for now.
2) Review sign up sheet at back of church. Week day or weekends. There will be various tasks. Dates to be determined.
3) One used tarp 10' x 12' approx. to use as a work area beside the garden. Contact me directly.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR HAITI
Again this year there is a request for school supplies to be donated to the schools supported by Children of Hope Haiti. The list is at the back of the church with the update poster including pictures and annual report. In the past you have been extremely generous. The teachers of each school receives the supplies directly. The deadline for donations is September 30th. Thank you for your continuing support. Mary Anna Williams.
'FUNDSCRIP' PROGRAM
FUNDSCRIP is an innovative fundraising program that asks you to purchase gift cards in order to pay for regular items you buy every month. A percentage of the cards purchased through FUNDSCRIP is donated back to our church.
Order forms for gift cards are available the last Sunday of every month.
The
next order date is August 25th.
