Friday Ministry Spotlight: Embrace Florida Kids

Embrace Florida Kids is a faith-based agency who is passionately focused on providing homes, healing and hope to vulnerable children who come from families in crisis, placed in foster care at no fault of their own.

With children as their first priority, they also work with biological families to address harmful behavior, giving them a second chance at restoration. With God’s unconditional love as our motivation, they often able to help both children and families thrive despite the arduous challenges they face.

Our church supports Embrace Florida Kids in several ways! One way is through our annual "White Christmas Offering" which was received at the Hanging of the Greens service this week. Together with a contribution from the Mission Board, we raised $2,881 for Embrace Florida Kids!

Additionally, we recently provided $4580 for a new fence to be built at the home for young women.

You may remember the First Wednesday Fellowship in October when our Elementary Kids and Youth led us in an interactive worship service. That night an offering was taken for Embrace Florida Kids, raising $2390 (including $500 from the Mission Board).

Another single donation was given by a church member, bringing our total for 2024 to $12,351 for the care of vulnerable children in need of a safe and loving home where they can learn about the hope and love of Jesus Christ! Every dollar represents hope for their future and love and care for their present days.

James 1: 27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

Thank you for the many ways you give and serve!
