Have you had the joy of listening to our wonderful and faithful choir who leads us in worship each week in the 11:00am Traditional Service? It's no secret that they have experienced much change in the last few months, but week after week we continue to be blessed by a core group who willingly shares their gifts through songs of praise. Each week, they gather to rehearse on Thursday evenings as well as Sunday mornings prior to the service. They give of their time willingly and will each attest to the fact that through this giving, they feel filled up! Our pianist, Deb Kuhns, skillfully accompanies the choir weekly. It was recently stated by someone following a worship service "I don't think I've ever heard Deb make a mistake!" We are extremely blessed by each member of the choir as well as Deb!
In recent months, one of our choir members, David Humphreys, has stepped up as Interim Choir Director during our phase of transitioning leadership. David has truly exemplified the heart of Christ in the way he leads. His humility, patience, and grace are evident as he has responded to God's call to step up for this time. He has a long history with leading and participating in choirs and we are grateful that he has shared his expertise. Behind the scenes, he shares of how music has played a crucial role in his personal relationship wtih God through the years. He has used this connection to help others connect with God through music and we are grateful! David will continue to be a support as our new Worship Arts Director, Carolyn Franzone, begins leading in both services on Palm Sunday.
