Local photographer and videographer Juan Galarza documents the lives of Hispanic business and community leaders across the region. His dramatic, movie-like portraits give these leaders the spotlight they have earned. The community is welcome to see this incredible work. The exhibition opening is free and open to the public.

The Fitzgerald - Ben Hill Arts Council is excited to host the Ensemblettes again this year at the historic Carnegie Center. For those unfamiliar, they are a local musical group made up of three wonderful women: Vanessa Melton, Rosa Henderson, and Annie Pearl Stepherson Boney. Come and enjoy uplifting, powerful music by these local artists. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free.

Small Business and Its Impact on Georgia

The New Bushmen Street Dance

Join us for a fun evening of dancing under the stars! Bring your lawn chairs and put on your dancing shoes!The Street Dance, hoste d by the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Arts Council, is returning to kick off the Wild Chicken Festival on Friday, March 15, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The New Bushmen will be performing in the White Swan parking lot behind Nabila's restaurant in Fitzgerald. The concert is admission free and drinks will be available for purchase.

For $150 you can reserve a table with eight chairs and it comes with beverage tickets. For Arts Council members, the price is reduced to $125!

Call the Carnegie Center at 229-426-5035 to reserve your table. You may also email your reservation requests to [email protected] or send us a message on Facebook.

There are a limited number of tables and they must be reserved and paid a MINIMUM OF 2 WEEKS prior to the event. If you have not paid by then, your reservation expires.

We can't wait to see you at the street dance!

Enter your work to be displayed at the Carnegie for the Wild Chicken Festival. Work can be on display and for sale. Open to all ages and mediums. 2D and 3D work is accepted. Artwork will be judged and awarded prizes!

Exhibit Dates: March 15th through April 27th

Entry Fee:

$10 for 16 years old and under

$15 for 17 years and older

(The fee is limited to three pieces per artist. If you want to enter more than three pieces, then it will be an additional $15)

Awards:

Recognitions and prizes will be given on March 16th at the Carnegie Center located at 120 South Lee Street Carnegie Center at 11AM.

Delivery Dates:

Artwork must be delivered February 22th to March 2nd at the Carnegie Center. Call 229-426-5035 to arrange an alternative delivery time.

Pieces MUST be entered and delivered by March 2, 2019
