REV. DON HANSHEW, SENIOR PASTOR

REV. CHASE CRICKENBERGER, ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Faithful Members, Volunteers, and Staff,

I am filled with immense gratitude as I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for playing a crucial role in making the "Day of Hope" Kick Off Event an outstanding success on March 5. Your extraordinary efforts, unwavering dedication, and genuine enthusiasm have not only contributed to the success of the event but have also laid the foundation for a mission that holds tremendous promise for our church and community.

It was truly inspiring to witness the hard work and commitment demonstrated by our dedicated staff and volunteers. Your selfless service exemplified the spirit of love and compassion that we, as followers of Christ at FCUMC, aim to embody in all our endeavors.

The impact of our collective efforts reaches far beyond the confines of the event itself, extending into the lives of community members who are in desperate need of hope, healing, and recovery. This serves as a powerful testament to the transformative influence of faith and community coming together for a shared purpose.

As we continue our mission together, my prayer is that we uphold and encourage one another, recognizing the potential for positive change in the lives of those we are privileged to serve. The success of the "Day of Hope" event is a testament to the fact that, when united in purpose, our collaborative efforts can bring about profound transformations.

Once again, I extend my deepest appreciation for your exceptional contributions and for being the driving force behind this mission of HOPE. Your commitment to serving others reflects the core values of our church, and I am truly blessed to be part of such a dedicated and compassionate community.

May God continue to guide and bless each one of you as we move forward in our shared journey of faith, service, and love.

In view of God’s mercy,

Seth

Palm Sunday March 24, 2024 10:45 a.m.

All are welcome!

Our Nursery kiddos and Fountain Littles are invited to wave palms with their parents before check-in. Fountain Kids who attend 10 a.m. Sunday School will come outside with leaders, and 11 a.m. students may come with parents before check-in. This is a precious moment for photographs!

Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024

We will once again have our flower cross in front of the church. However, we will not be able to release butterflies due to Easter’s early date this year.

We will have two Easter photo booths as well as an Easter flower cart. The flower cart will be in the church office courtyard. The photo booths will be located outside Wesley Hall and in the Narthex area. You will be able to pick flowers from the cart to put on the Easter cross outside in celebration of our risen Lord. Invite a friend. He is Risen! He is Risen, Indeed!

There will be no meal or programming on Wednesday, March 13 due to Knox County Schools Spring Break. See you on the 20th!

Our hospitality team is growing and we need your help! On March 17 in Wesley Hall, directly following our 11 a.m. worship services, we invite you to join us for a simple lunch and training. We will cover what to say, how to serve, and other questions. We are looking for volunteers to help in the Welcome Center, at doors, in the parking lot, and to “roam” the building to see if anyone needs assistance. Remember, every Sunday is someone’s first Sunday and being on this team can make sure they have the best shot at starting a forever life change! Please contact the church office at 865-689-5175 to let us know if you plan to attend so we can have the appropriate amount of food and resources available. Kids and adults are welcome!
