STONE TOWER MISSION: To Seek & Save the Lost

June 20th, 2025

Good morning, everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to share a personal update and some important information for this coming Sabbath.

When I first arrived in Canada, my dad was shivering and his temperature was rising. He had already been in the Emergency Room for three days (and only got a room on the second day—welcome to free Canadian healthcare ). Thankfully, the Internal Medicine team was able to stabilize him. His body had been fighting not only the cancer but also a secondary infection.

Over the next few days, the shivering subsided, and the infection is now nearly gone. However, the cancer continues to progress. It’s been a series of ups and downs—some moments where he’s been eating and regaining a bit of strength, and others, like this morning (Monday, June 16), where he’s eating very little and sleeping most of the day.

We are in active conversations with the doctors about what comes next. At this point, we are preparing to shift toward palliative care, though whether that will happen in the hospital, a care facility, or at home is still being determined.

With that in mind, our family will be returning to Oregon on Wednesday afternoon, and God willing, I’ll be preaching at Lents this coming Sabbath.

Please also keep our upcoming

Vacation Bible School in prayer as we launch this coming Sunday.

If you haven’t already invited children (ages 12 and under) and their families to join us, now’s the time! Most importantly, please lift our church’s efforts in prayer—that God would use VBS to plant seeds of faith and joy in young hearts.

Please continue to keep all these things in prayer—our Sabbath service, our VBS outreach, and especially my father’s health and our family’s transition into this next chapter.

Your continued love, support, and prayers mean more than I can say.

I’m looking forward to worshipping together with you soon.

WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH OUR NEIGHBORS

Are Foster/Kinder Care and Orphans Getting the Support They Need?

Many children, through no fault of their own, end up in foster care, kinship care, or orphanages. The cost of caring for these kids far outweighs what federal or state subsidies cover. As a result, countless children lack the stability and resources needed to thrive.

Dear friend,

Thank you to everyone who has already given toward our campus restoration efforts. We’re deeply grateful and encouraged. I recently spoke at the Arizona Camp Meeting and shared that Weimar is the only SDA university that does not accept government funding. This allows us to teach true science and divine inspiration without compromise. The audience responded with spontaneous, widespread applause.

The Arizona Conference President called it “a game changer” and expressed his hope that more of our universities could be free from the mandates tied to federal funds. Even Harvard, the world’s wealthiest university, had to borrow to make payroll when government funding was delayed. It's a sobering reminder of how financial dependence can impact mission and priorities. At Weimar, we’ve chosen a different path. We rely on God and on faithful supporters like you. Your giving protects the integrity of our message and preserves the freedom to provide a Christ-centered, undiluted education.

While we’re making progress with just 11 days left until our fiscal year deadline of June 30, we’re not there yet. We still need to raise $464,040 to fully fund our daily needs as well as the classroom, student housing, and campus improvements Weimar urgently needs.

Your sacrificial gift—large or small—makes a real difference. And thanks to a generous donor, every dollar you give will still be matched!

Let’s finish strong, together.

GIVE NOW

With gratitude,

Dr. Neil Nedley
