A Note From Pastor Kelly:

We take a short pause this Sunday from our summer series REVELATION & RESISTANCE as guest preacher Rev. Del Burnett joins us and brings his message from the Gospel of Mark. Pastor Kelly will still be in worship helping to commission our 3 youth and 3 adults for their upcoming summer mission trip.

Here’s a review of where we’ve been with this last book in the Bible and a look at what is coming next.

Ever onward,

Pastor Kelly

The Next Gen committee will meet after the Sunday service on August 3 in Russell Hall.

We are focused on hiring a teacher for Sunday school.

We invite members of the congregation to join us.

The old adage is truer than ever - “It takes a village to raise a child.”

Do you have any of those green or brown cardboard containers from berries or fruit? Don’t toss them—bring them to church!

You can drop them off on the table in Boulder Hall, where they’ll be given a second life at a local farm. 🌱 Every week, fresh produce from this farm is donated to a food bank in North Salem, helping feed those in need.

Your small act of recycling makes a big difference! Thank you for your support. 🙏

—Mary Snethen

Table of Plenty:

This past Tuesday felt like a return to the days before COVID as the Table of Plenty crew weighed and shelved the generous donations you all contributed. Thanks to your kindness, we’ll be able to share 377 pounds of food with our neighbors in need, who rely on Table of Plenty to supplement their meals.

A special thank you to our dedicated crew: Bobbie Vlyde, Lori and John Dalen, their 7-year-old granddaughter Camille, and Tim Hilfiker. Many hands made light work—the weighing and shelving flew by with laughter and teamwork.

Most of all, thanks be to God for the ability to serve those in need together. Let’s keep this momentum going for next month!

The school supplies drive is on! During the months of July and August, we collect basic school supplies for several schools in our area. Collection boxes have been set up in the Narthex. Any donations are appreciated - paper, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, binders, folders, etc. Thank you in advance for helping make this school supply drive a success.

🚨 URGENT: Don’t Get Tricked by Scammers! 🚨

Hey Westminsterites,

We need to talk about something critical—scammers are getting sneaky, and we want YOU to stay safe. Here’s the deal:

✅ Westminster & Pastor Kelly will NEVER suddenly email or text you asking for money, gift cards, or personal favors. Ever.

✅ Legitimate requests only happen through official church channels—not random, out-of-the-blue messages.

🚩 If something feels fishy, it probably is!

➡️ DO NOT reply—even if it looks real.

➡️ DO forward it to the church office ASAP so we can investigate.

💡 A quick double-check protects all of us. When in doubt, call or email us directly—we’re happy to confirm what’s real!

Stay sharp, stay safe, and let’s keep our community secure! 🙏💙
