Notices from the Superintendent
Riverview School - National Blue Ribbon School Nominee
Riverview School has been nominated as a National Blue Ribbon School for Exemplary High Performance. This is the highest honor that the US Department of Education bestows on schools nationwide. National Blue Ribbon Schools represent the full diversity of American schools: public schools including Title I schools, charter schools, magnet/choice schools, and non-public schools including parochial and independent schools. The schools are urban, suburban, and rural, large and small, traditional and innovative, and serve students of every social, economic, and ethnic background. Annually, all private and public elementary, middle, and high schools are considered based upon their academic performance in the previous year. This year 9 schools from New Jersey have been nominated. This acknowledgement represents the incredible effort our students, staff, administration, school board, and community have made in achieving our goal to ensure all students demonstrate academic success. Final National Blue Ribbon Schools will be announced in September 2020, followed by an award ceremony in Washington D.C. in November. Congratulations to Mrs. Theodoropoulos, Mrs. Sardanopoli, and all of the students, staff, and parents of Riverview School for receiving this enormous honor.

Important Notice about Valleyview Chromebook Security
We would like to alert parents that Valleyview student chromebook security has been changed. We were planning on making this change in the summer, however in order to provide a more secure, educational device we have locked down the chromebooks. Students are no longer to able to add apps or extensions to their chromebooks. If they want or need an extension or app, they make a request to a teacher. If this is considered educationally necessary the teachers will request the app through the technology department. In most cases this will be completed the same day the teacher makes the request.
We still ask that you speak to your children about proper use of The Denville Schools equipment as well as safe and appropriate internet usage at school and home.
