Hard to believe the year is almost coming to an end! It's been a very productive and eventful year and we are proud of our Riverview Rockets!   Not only are we proud of all the academic gains our students have demonstrated, but we are also proud of their character and   R.O.C.K.E.T behavior.  This year we received the distinct honor of being recognized as a  2018-2020 New Jersey School of Character, we raised money to repair four wells in Africa to name just a few major accomplishments! 
Our fourth and fifth grade students performed beautifully during our Spring Concert.  We would like to thank Mrs. Bertani and Mrs. Fries for helping our  students develop their musical talents.  Thank you parents for supporting a love for music with your children.  During our concert, we also had Pia Piazzi, a former Riverview student dedicate a plethora of music books that she received from generous donations to our Riverview library. Thank you, Pia, for your beautiful, musical addition to our library!

We also want to recognize our guidance counselor, Mr. McCabe for being honored as the "Staff Person of the Year".  Mr. McCabe consistently goes above and beyond for our learning community. We  are so proud of him for receiving this well-deserved distinction!

Our Riverview Rockets have been enjoying many exciting and educational  field trips. Fourth grade went to Liberty Hall Museum to learn about life during the time of the Revolutionary War.  Second grade students enjoyed bird watching at Pyramid Mountain. Third grade will go to Native Lands to learn about the different Native American traditions.  The fifth grade will visit Valleyview on  May 29. 
 Our students worked hard in completing the PARCC testing. We have many special events planned to celebrate the successes of the year.  We are looking forward to our fifth grade LEAD graduation on May 25;  NJ Day on May 31; Field Day on June 1; PTA Fun Fair on June 9 and our mural unveiling on June 15.  Please join us in painting the mural by signing up here:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050F44AAA623AA8-mural

Mandatory Reregistration for Rising 6th Graders

In May of 2013, the Denville Board of Education voted to change district policy 5111 (Residency) and require that all students moving up to grade six go through a re-registration process. This process will help to ensure that the Denville taxpayers are funding free public schools for Denville residents only.  Please click here for information and registration form.
Denville Social Services Presents Movie Night

On Saturday, June 9th at 8:30 PM, Denville Social Services presents the original Ghostbusters.  Food trucks will be at the event. There will be free admission, but donations are welcome.  Click here for details.
Denville Schools  Inclusive Preschool Program

There are still openings for the Denville Township Inclusive Preschool Program.    This program is for 4 and 5 year olds and held at Lakeview Elementary School.  Click on the picture for details.
Denville Kiwanis Bike Rodeo

The 4th annual Denville Kiwanis Bike Rodeo will be held on June 14th from 4-7 PM at Denville Municipal Building Parking Lot.  There will be a police escorted bike ride, bike safety inspections and a bicycle and gift cards to win.  Click on the picture for details.

Summer Explorations - Register by June 1st

The Denville BOE is offering Summer Explorations at Riverview School.  Students can choose from Aqua Explorers, Simply Delicious Summer, Slime Time, Summer LEGO and more!  There are 5 weeks of classes starting on June 25th.  Registration deadline is June 1st.  Click on the picture for information and registration form.
Tricky Tray and Band Beefsteak 

In support of the Joey Bella Memorial Fund, there will be two events held this summer.  On July 2nd,  there will be a Tricky Tray.  On July 3rd, a Beefsteak Dinner will be held with entertainment from the Nerds.  Please click here for details on both events. 
Register for fall 2018 HUB Soccer

Registration for fall 2018 recreation soccer is now open.   Children from PreK to 8th grade can join.  The season starts September 8th.  Click on the picture for more information.  
Donate a Brick to the Playground

Support Project Playground 2.0 by donating a brick tor Gardner Field Playground.  We are offering 4x8 bricks for $75 and 8x8 bricks for $150.  Each brick is customized with text or symbols.  Orders are due by June 1st.  Click here for details.
