Hi Westminster family. Thank you so much for an awesome “retirement” party last Sunday. It was so great to see so many eras of youth and parents who have come through our youth program and could make it to the party.

Thank you for all the cards and gifts and memories and blessings shared. And a HUGE thank you to all who planned the party, made delicious beignets and treats, and threw a youth group event I didn’t have to plan or clean up after! My heart is full. I love you all and I’ll see you soon!

Welcome to WPC's New Office Manager!

A warm welcome to Katie Moore, who will join us Monday as our new office manager. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in office management, office systems and procedures, and computer software. Most recently she was education manager and IT coordinator at Oregon Realtors.

Thank you to The Hiring Team of Jean Severson, Gene Ice and chair John Dalen, assisted by elder Maggie Sather from the Personnel Committee. Next up – hiring the facility manager. Applications closed March 31.

The office will continue to be open 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Thursday. Tremendous thanks to Chris Duval for her dedicated service as interim office manager. She will continue for a couple of weeks to help Katie get oriented.

We invite you to email or drop off notes of appreciation to Chris Duval, as well as notes of welcome to Katie Moore. Katie will have lots of names to put with faces as she settles into the office manager position, so when you stop by, introduce yourself more than once. Welcome to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Katie!

One Great Hour Of Sharing: Repairing the Breach:

The theme of this year's One Great Hour of Sharing is taken from Isaiah 58, in which God tells us to show our love. By sharing our love with OGHS, we can help repair the breach in so many of our interactions in our world today. This special offering is taken during the Lenten/Easter season and we will be receiving our donations on Easter Sunday, April 20.

The three programs supported by OGHS are: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Hunger Program, and the Self-Development of People. These three programs all work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.

Each gift to OGHS helps to improve the lives of people in these challenging situations and it also provides us a way to share God's love with our neighbors in need. In fact, OGHS is the single largest way Presbyterians come together every year to work for a better world.

OGHS offering envelopes are available on the table next to the Offering Box.
