From Building & Grounds:

Thanks to all the attended the two 2025 Westminster budget information sessions on Sunday January 12 hosted by Budget and Finance, Building and Grounds, and Personnel Committees. Copies of the budget and supporting documents are available in the Church Office. The proposed 2025 budget addresses changes in income and a tighter control on expenses. One significant change will be in Personnel with a new position, Office and Operations Manager, that combines the need for Administrative and Facilities coordination. There was much constructive discussion regarding budgetary needs for programs that serve working families and youth in our community. We discussed concerns about mission giving and utilizing designated funds to support ongoing projects. Table of Plenty Sunday is this Sunday! And that means fill our Table of Plenty Boxes "Sunday"! Canned veggies, fruit, cereal, hamburger-type boxed meals, canned chili and peanut butter. There were very few jars of peanut butter on the shelves the last time we delivered food, so that would be a most welcome food item. Thanks for remembering our neighbors in need.

Men's Night Out:

Men's Night Out is Tuesday, January 21, at 6 pm at Vortex Eatery, at the corner of Cunningham Lane and Liberty Road S, in the Sunnyslope Shopping Center . RSVP to John Dalen (john.m.dalen@gmail.com).

January 19 is the 3rd Sunday of the month and is our designated Sunday for Table of Plenty donations!!

The New Member Class dates have been updated, so please mark your calendars. There will be two opportunities to meet to learn more about what it means and how to become a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church: January 26 and February 2, after worship from approximately 11:30-1:00. Please plan to bring your own lunch. In the Community:

Join us in the upcoming Peace Walk in honor of Dr. King's legacy. It will be held on January 20 at 1pm from Seed of Faith Ministries, 1230 Winter St. NE in Salem.

Women Having Fun!

Women's Night Out was held last Monday night, January 13 at McGraths' Fish House in Salem. It was well attended, with 19 WestPres women enjoying fellowship and conversation. Next Women's Night Out is February 10 - put it on your calendar and come and join women having fun!

Serve:

The Congregational Vitality Team is looking for people to be a part of the Westminster Greeters Team. There is a need for one or two friendly faces to stand at the front door and welcome people to worship on Sundays. It is a 30 minute commitment prior to the beginning of the service, and it is FUN!. Even if you can only sign up once every 6-8 weeks, it is appreciated. If you would like to add your name to the pool, please contact Katie Nelson (nelsonkatieallstar@gmail.com).
