No Youth Group This Sunday – Take the extra time to celebrate and cherish your mom this Mother’s Day! 💐

Mark your calendars: Our final Youth Group of the year is coming up on May 18th at West Pres (6:00–7:00 PM). Don’t miss this last gathering before summer—see you there!

Heads Up: Spotting Email Scams ⚠️

A quick but important reminder: Westminster and Pastor Kelly will never unexpectedly ask for money, gift cards, or personal favors via email or text. These requests only happen through official church programs—never out of the blue!

If you get a message that feels off, don’t reply. Instead, forward it to the church office, and we’ll check it out. Staying alert helps protect our whole community.

When in doubt, reach out!

Participate:

The Welcoming Journey Core Team is excited to share with you our draft for the wording to use for our new Statement of Inclusion for the Westminster website, and we would like to invite you to see it and let us know what you think. You are encouraged to let us your your thoughts.

Welcome to Our Church-

Come as you are. There is a place for you here.

We joyfully welcome all—regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or ability—into full participation in the worship, ministry, leadership, and mission of our church.

Rooted in the love and grace of Jesus Christ, we are a community united as one body with many members. As part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we affirm that all people are created in God’s image and are called equally to follow Christ in faith and service.

Here are some of the ways you can let us know your thoughts:

  1. Stop by the table in Boulder Hall with the rainbow flag on either of the next two Sundays (May 4 & 11) (there will be someone there for you to talk to, as well as papers for you to share your opinions in writing) -or-
  2. Share your comments in our survey online (CLICK THIS LINK), -or-
  3. Call Lucy Foster 503-508-3417.

Blood Drive

April 2, 2025 — Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. That’s why Westminster Presbyterian Church is on a mission to help save lives by hosting a blood drive on Monday, May 12 from 1:00PM to 6:00PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

There are several Whole Blood (and Double Red) appointments available between 1:45pm and 2:45pm call me to get your appointment!

The community is invited to take part in this special event and donate blood for hospital patients in our neighborhoods and across the nation. The need for blood is constant, but only 3 percent of the U.S. population donates . By rolling up a sleeve, donors can play a critical role in the treatment of accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease.

To make an appointment or to learn more, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Completion of a RapidPass® online health history questionnaire found at RedCrossBlood.org/rapidpass is encouraged to help speed up the donation process. OR you can contact me at the info below:

Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross blood drive at Westminster Presbyterian Church! Folks often tell us that Boulder Hall is a great place to donate blood as the scenery out the windows calms them!

All the best!

Your RC Blood drive coordinators, Bill Nelson and the rest of the team of Ambassadors and helpers for the blood drive.

Lets Celebrate
