The Chamber is thrilled to announce that our popular Business & Community Expo will return to the Samoset Resort on Wednesday, April 13, 2 to 7 PM. The Expo presents an opportunity to meet and network with close to 100 local businesses and non-profits, all under one roof!

In response to the labor shortage, the Chamber will be actively promoting that job seekers are welcome and encouraged to attend the Business Expo to connect with businesses who are currently hiring.

Maine Office of Tourism Town Hall Visioning Summit:
April 4 at the Samoset

The Maine Office of Tourism has launched a project to develop a statewide Destination Management Plan. This project seeks to develop a clear and actionable 5-year strategic plan focused on accelerating Maine’s recovery from impacts of the pandemic and establishing a solid foundation and direction for future growth. The Destination Management Plan will be industry informed, with input gathered through a series of 9 visioning summits, and through an online survey.

We invite you to be part of the process by participating in the Town Hall Visioning Summit on Monday, April 4, from 2 to 5 PM, at the Samoset Resort. Register by clicking the link below.

Chamber of Commerce is local drop-off for "From Maine to Ukraine" project - last drop off is today!
The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is happy to support this effort. Donations (as suggested below) may be dropped off at our Camden and Rockland offices during regular hours (M-F, 10-4) through Friday, April 1st. We will deliver them to the Maine Tourism Association. Then, the goods will be shipped to Poland where the Retail Association of Ukraine has a retail member warehouse that can accept the goods for distribution into Ukraine.
Maine State Chamber Stakeholder Survey: Respond by April 1
In anticipation of the 2022 gubernatorial election, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce is updating its flagship economic report, Making Maine Work: Critical Investments for the Maine Economy, in collaboration with the Maine Development Foundation and Educate Maine, and with insights from Ed Cervone, key stakeholders, and similar organizations. Share your input with the Maine State Chamber before the survey closes on Friday, April 1. This brief survey should take about 10 minutes to complete:

Opportunity for job seekers and employers at the Belfast Regional Job & Resource Fair!

Employers interested in hiring are invited to attend this event. Tables & chairs will be provided, and employers are welcome to set up 9 a.m. The event is free to employers, but reservations are required! Michelle Peacock to fill seat on Chamber Board
The Board of Directors of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce recently elected Michelle Peacock of Camden to a seat on the Chamber board. Michelle will fill a vacancy created by a recent resignation, and she will serve for the remainder of that term through 2023. Michelle and her husband Matt are co-owners and Innkeepers of the Blue Harbor House Inn in Camden. We are excited to welcome Michelle to the Chamber Board!
