Chamber forms Member Advocacy Committee
Your Chamber Board of Directors has recently formed a Member Advocacy Committee, to review and discuss municipal, state and federal public policy items affecting our members. The committee will periodically issue informational briefings for our membership to help understand pros and cons of a particular issue, and may selectively recommend that our board issue a public position statement on an issue of importance to our membership. Generally, issues to be considered by this committee need to have a current or potential impact to members in multiple communities in our Chamber territory. West Bay Rotary Seeks Grant Applications by April 1
Twice a year, West Bay Rotary, through its charitable foundation, provides financial support to organizations that work to improve the lives of people in Knox County and the Town of Lincolnville.
AIO to offer evening hours
AIO Food Pantry and Emergency Assistance, located in Rockland, serves about 40 Knox County households each Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning, a high number that is causing crowding and long waits. To address this problem, AIO will begin offering Wednesday evening hours starting April 4.
