Chamber Auction is June 21: Donations are welcomed!
The Chamber will be hosting a live and silent auction on Wednesday, June 21, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM, at Rock Harbor Tap Room in Rockland.
Your auction donation is a vital way to support the Chamber's economic development and tourism promotion activities, while inspiring networking, business growth and leadership in the region. Help the Chamber meet our goals, while shining a spotlight on your business - It's a real win-win!
We are currently seeking items valued at $1,000 or more for our live auction and items valued at $100 or more for our silent auction. Auction tickets are $10 per person in advance (available for purchase now on our website; follow link below); $15 per person at the door. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and drinks will be available for purchase. This event is open to the public - everyone is welcome!

Art Show Featuring Local Adult Students at Rockport Library
From June 2 through June 28, the Rockport Public Library will host a show of artwork created by students in the Five Town CSD Adult & Community Education program. The show will be entitled “Art at Adult Education – Inspiring to Achieve.” The exhibit will showcase pieces by students enrolled in the current semester of different adult ed art or craft classes including: oil painting, watercolor, pottery, sewing, fabric craft, and woodworking. June 3 Fundraiser Will Help the Y To Open New Child Care Center
The Penobscot Bay YMCA is kicking off their 2023 fundraising campaign for child care with a festive event on Saturday, June 3 at Pascal Hall in Rockport. As part of their efforts to expand early child care opportunities for working families in the Midcoast, the Y is throwing a fun party with appetizers, drinks, and live music from local cover band, Minivan Carpool. Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $25 and proceeds will support renovations and operational costs for the new Lily Pond Infant Center, which will expand the YMCA’s Early Child Care program by 20%. Nativity Lutheran Church Donates $1250 to Knox County Homeless Coalition
On May 22, Reverend Wendy Anderson of Nativity Lutheran Church in Rockport presented a donation of $1250 to Becca Gildred, Development Director of Knox County Homeless Coalition to support the organization’s continued efforts around addressing homelessness and housing insecurity in Midcoast Maine. Registration is now open for a five-day professional development program, Mediation & the Art of Conflict Transformation, offered June 26 –30 from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast. The fee for this in-person program is $1,050, and includes a catered lunch and an afternoon snack each day.
