Lodging Search Feature on Chamber Website Shows Success
Earlier this year, the Chamber launched a new feature on our website to provide live lodging search of our 62 lodging members in the Camden-Rockland Region. This search feature automatically pulls average rate and availability information from lodging member websites to provide a current look at availability and rates in the region, and the ability to book direct with any of our lodging members. We now have six full months of data available, and the results are exciting! More...

A Note About Chamber Associations
You would have to be hiding under a rock to have missed that the 2020 campaign season has already begun, with advertising bombarding us from all angles. It seems timely to provide a reminder that the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is a separately incorporated 501c6 non-profit organization, and has a long-standing practice of not endorsing candidates for any political office at any level. Our Chamber does have an Advocacy Committee that meets periodically to review local, state and federal issues that may impact our local members. If our Chamber were to take any sort of public stance on an issue or legislation, it would be discussed by our Advocacy Committee and then referred to our full Board of Directors.

While our Chamber does have affiliations with the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and the US Chamber of Commerce, it is important to note that opinions expressed by other Chamber organizations do not reflect endorsement of those views by our Chamber. Only our local Board of Directors can make statements on behalf our organization. We value our associations with the Maine State Chamber and the US Chamber for the wealth of resources they provide to local Chambers like ours, such as peer networking and sound non-profit practices.
