Thanksgiving Dining and Take-Out in the Camden-Rockland Region
In addition to our weekly dining grid found in the left column of this newsletter, we are now compiling a list of member restaurants and other establishments in our region that will be offering Thanksgiving meals, from sit-down dining to a la carte curbside, and more.
Chamber's shop local campaign, Keep the Cheer Here, heralds in the holiday season

Chamber members are invited to add a free listing on our third annual 'Keep The Cheer Here" webpage, where viewers can find details about your holiday shopping hours, your special events, links to your online shopping page, and more!

"Keep the Cheer Here" is a centralized hub for local retailers and event planners to share their holiday tidings, which the Chamber will promote via local media and social media, encouraging people to shop local and celebrate local during this holiday season.

Chamber Gala is set for February 10, 2023
Scheduled for Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Samoset Resort, the evening will celebrate and recognize those who have made extraordinary contributions to our community this past year.
Nominations are now open for our 2022 Annual Awards, including the prestigious Community Person Of The Year award, milestone anniversaries, and a variety of other award categories to honor outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals. Nomination deadline is December 23. Hope for the Holidays: Holiday Shopping
New Hope Midcoast is holding a holiday sale of Maine-made gifts from now through December 15 with pick up from 9-1 on Friday or Monday, December 16 and 19 at 5 Beech Street, Rockland or at 18 Belvedere Street, Damariscotta. Items for sale include tea towels from designer, jennie blue, hand-made chocolates and spices from Sugar and Spice Farms, “There’s Grounds for Hope” coffee from Rock City Roasters, and Maine Gold syrup. Proceeds benefit the agency’s comprehensive supports for Midcoast Maine residents affected by domestic abuse including a 24/7 hotline, legal advocacy, emergency sheltering, transitional housing, presentations and trainings. In anticipation of the busiest travel week of the year, the Amtrak Downeaster is encouraging passengers to book tickets early to ensure availability. 42nd Annual Festival of Lights Craft Show Supports Homeless Pets in need
As the days get shorter and cooler, we know that fall is here, and inevitably winter will follow. Though that means cold and snow, it also means the holidays! Start the season with the annual Festival of Lights Craft Show hosted by Pope Memorial Humane Society. Two thousand twenty-two marks this Midcoast Maine tradition’s 42nd year! The Georges River Land Trust invites EVERYONE to join and toast its hard-working volunteer corps around a roaring bonfire at the Gibson Preserve, 637 Woodman’s Mill Rd. in Searsmont, on Thursday, December 8th from 3 to 5pm (Rain/snow date on Friday, December 9). Anyone interested in learning more about the Georges River Land Trust or motivated to help care for 70 miles of trails, 18 preserves or monitor 51 easements are encouraged to attend and meet like-minded volunteers.
