A Message from Chamber Interim President & CEO
Back in October, when I was asked by the chamber's board of directors to step in as the Interim President and CEO for a second time in a little over a year, I agreed to serve for twelve weeks.
In 2022, when I began my first temporary assignment in the role, it too was a twelve week appointment, which stretched out to sixteen weeks.
From the outset of my current term of employment with the chamber, I have made it abundantly clear to the board that I would adhere to a firm end date, regardless of whether or not the full-time position was filled. That time has come, and I'll be stepping down early next week.
I am, after all, supposed to be retired!
Happily, there is someone in the wings, and an announcement will be made shortly.
As someone who has benefitted mightily from my association with the chamber over the past three decades, I can honestly state that membership can be a key component to the success of your business - if you work at it.
Chamber membership is a partnership. Please be sure to take full advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with other members, staff, and volunteers to maximize your investment. Pay your dues and participate in the process.
It has been my honor to fill in again during this transition, and as I prepare to turn in my keys, I want to recognize Diane Norton and Matt Roderick. With the support of the board and until the new permanent CEO arrives, be assured that Matt and Diane will do their best to satisfy the needs of all of you.
Best personal regards,
Gordon Page
