A special thanks to our first responders in the region for their outstanding efforts relative to the Port Clyde fire that occurred this week.  As more information unfolds, the Chamber of Commerce is standing by, ready to provide support to our local governments, businesses, and residents that have been impacted by this tragedy.

Take this opportunity to think about how your business could withstand an event of this magnitude.  When did you last review your insurance coverages? Do you have business interruption coverage? Are your systems backed up?  Are your important files in fire-proof cabinets/safes? Do you have a contingency plan to meet the needs of your employees, customers, suppliers, etc., and many more things to consider before a tragedy strikes.
